More than two years after Vultures 2, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign still haven't completed their planned trilogy, but Ty insists that Vulture 3 remains alive.
The uncertainty has reached prediction market sites like Kalshi, where traders can take a position on whether Vultures 3 will be released before January 1, 2028.
The contract gives the duo more than a year to turn years of teasers and changed plans into an official release. Recent comments from Ty Dolla $ign provide fresh reason to believe it could happen, although there is still no confirmed release date.
Kalshi lists a market asking traders whether Vultures 3 will arrive before 2028. At the latest prices, Yes contracts are available at 44c, compared with 66c for No. The market currently shows no detected trading volume, however, so those prices should be treated cautiously and not as a strong consensus among a large pool of traders.
The contract has a straightforward resolution condition: if Ye and Ty release Vultures 3 after the market is issued and before January 1, 2028, it resolves Yes. Otherwise, No wins.
That gives the pair over a year to turn things around and make an official release. Culture predictions like this one have become highly popular recently, covering markets spanning music, television, movies and other entertainment events.
The strongest recent evidence for a release came directly from Ty himself. During an August 31 livestream, a fan asked him about Vultures 3 and Ty responded that the pari were still going to make it happen, reviving expectations for an album that had appeared increasingly uncertain.
The comments followed a reunion between Ty and Ye onstage in New Orleans, marking their first performance together since a public fallout.
Ty had previously said in February 2025 that the album was approximately 85% to 90% complete, but no finished project followed. There is still no announced release date, so Ty`s comments might need to be taken with a pinch of salt and not as confirmation that an album is actually ready.
Vultures 3 was originally supposed to complete a three-album series from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign, collectively known as ¥$. The duo released Vultures 1 in February 2024, followed by Vultures 2 in August 2024. The first album received immense success, debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200, while the sequel debuted at No. 2.
The third instalment never arrived, and its prospects became even more uncertain in 2025, when Ye suggested his relationship with Ty had deteriorated and cast doubt on whether the project would happen.
Meanwhile, both artists moved toward other work, as Ty focused on solo material while Ye pursued Bully.
This might explain why the Kalshi market currently prices No above Yes, despite Ty`s more encouraging recent comments.
A concrete rollout would be the biggest signal to move the market. Ty`s comments that Vultures 3 remains planned shouldn't be dismissed, but traders can now watch for stronger indicators like an official release date, pre-save page, cover art, tracklist or new single from the album.
The long deadline also makes a difference, since Kalshi`s contract is giving Ye and Ty a good amount of time to work on the release.
While the market leans toward the album not being released in time right now, any concrete sign of a Vultures 3 rollout could quickly change things up and give traders a reason to reassess current prices.
