Quick Facts About Robinhood
Robinhood offers prediction markets where you trade event contracts on how real-world situations will play out, with the most popular topics being sports, politics, pop culture, and economics. The prices aren't fixed, instead, each contract's price reflects what other traders think the likely outcome is.
Every market comes down to a simple Yes or No: you back whether an event will happen or won't, and if your call matches the result once the contract settles, you receive the payout. It's worth remembering that Robinhood isn't primarily a prediction market platform.
Event contracts are still a fairly new addition, so access can depend on your account eligibility and region. In most cases, you'll need to open and verify a standard Robinhood account and be approved for derivatives trading first. If you'd rather start trading predictions straight away, or want a platform built specifically for them, one of the sites like Robinhood below could be a better fit.

Sports Prediction Markets
Sports prediction markets
are one of the most most traded in the US, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon. Sports is often the prediction market with the most depth. Whether you’d like to trade contracts on major leagues like the NFL, NCAAB, and NBA or other sports like golf, racing, soccer, and tennis, you’ll find plenty of options.
All of the available markets will be set up in the form of questions that will be focused on a specific result. So this could be “Will a specific NFL game end with x score?” or “Will x team emerge as the winner of the Wimbledon final?”.
Beyond the Yes/No, sometimes there will be specific options for you to choose from. A question may ask you who you think will win and then give two options of whichever teams are in the final. The price of the contracts will be based on who your fellow users think will win.
Politics Prediction Markets
Another topic that’s popular to trade contracts on is politics.
Political prediction markets
often centre around upcoming elections, budgets, how candidates will perform, approval ratings, and so on. Technically these markets are global, although they do tend to be frequently tied to the US. Trading contracts on politics can be quite interesting because the topics are quite unique. However, we will admit that it’s not for everyone.
Economics Prediction Markets
This is another popular area for trading contracts, where you can often find hundreds of different
economy prediction market
questions. Sometimes they can be quite broad, and other times they will focus on the price of a specific cryptocurrency. Many of the questions are also around the price that certain stocks will close at. Predicting economic topics can be a lot more volatile than other areas, so it’s important to keep this in mind.
Cultural Prediction Markets
Culture prediction markets
are where traders can have a bit of fun, because this can literally include anything. You could trade contracts around pop culture moments like Grammy performances, Oscar nominations, and so on.
If you can think of an event that’s happening in the world, then there is likely a way to trade contracts on it. This could even include something like who the most Googled person will be or how many subscribers a YouTuber will have by the end of the month.
Our Top Sites Like Robinhood

Pros and Cons of Polymarket

Polymarket is another popular choice among players, with hundreds and hundreds of contracts to trade at any time. This platform splits its markets into helpful categories, and we often find ourselves checking out the "Trending" section.

Crypto.com is similar to Robinhood in that it wasn’t always a prediction market. This means that finding your way around can be a little bit more confusing than other sites.
Once you’re in the prediction market section, then you can quickly jump between different topics.
Crypto.com also runs welcome rewards for eligible new users. Just make sure you've completed all of the KYC verification steps first. You should note that offer details and any time limits can change, so check the current terms before you decide whether or not to sign up.

Prediction Trading is facilitated through Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA). Foris DAX Inc. and Foris Inc. Underdog has recently expanded its horizons from just offering sports fantasy and DFS to now including sports prediction markets too. There are a couple of other topics, but ultimately, Underdog is sticking to what they know by providing a range of options to trade on sports-based contracts.
The variety of topics within sports is probably unmatched and certainly exceeds what’s offered at Robinhood. We’d really recommend that sports fans check out this site because the available topics tend to go beyond simply Championship winners. There are even some options to trade contracts on the fantasy sports topics, although we’d probably recommend sticking with actual sporting events initially.
Trading derivatives involves risk and may not be appropriate for all. For more information visit: https://www.nadex.com/rules and https://underdogfantasy.com/rules. For Crypto.com Predictions, the term "pick" refers to a product traded on CDNA.
