When you’re used to getting the best prediction market trading experience, it becomes a bit tricky to move to other apps like Kalshi. Yet, we think you should get curious like we did, so you don't miss the other gems.
In terms of quality, the best apps or sites like Kalshi are Crypto.com, OG, Polymarket, Robinhood, and Underdog. We’ve tested each one and liked specific features and elements during our experience. On this page, we’ll provide overviews of what each of them offers and why you should consider signing up with one when you’re ready to switch platforms.
Kalshi is one of the most trusted platforms for trading prediction markets in the US. It owes that largely to being the first CFTC-regulated exchange dedicated to event contracts, a designation it received in 2020. Like every other prediction market platform, you trade by choosing a Yes or No option on specific event outcomes. If things settle in your favor, you get a payout. That said, there are a few other reasons why people prefer Kalshi. These include 13+ categories to trade, downloadable apps for Android and iOS, and its beginner-friendly interface.
These are the basic things any user will need, so if you're looking for an alternative, the platform should offer these as well. However, what would move the needle most is finding alternatives with greater market depth for specific categories. That’s one of the things we considered when selecting the brands we’ve featured on this page. We will discuss the criteria for choosing each one later on, but first, let’s do a quick comparison.
This is a quick look at how the top 5 alternatives compare to Kalshi.
| Prediction trading platform | Number of supported categories | Android and iOS app support | License |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kalshi | 13+ | Yes | CFTC |
| Crypto.com | 13+ | Yes | CFTC-regulated via CDNA (FCM, DCM & DCO) |
| Polymarket | 16+ | Yes | CFTC |
| OG | Wide range of sports categories + 7 extra | Yes | CFTC |
| Robinhood | 14+ | Yes | CFTC |
| Underdog | Mostly sports and 4+ extra | Yes | CFTC |
Crypto.com stays true to its name because this is where you will find the best market depth if you prefer crypto price and event predictions. We found during our Kalshi review that most of the crypto markets are price-based and under a single group.
You can download the Crypto.com application for iOS and Android, though prediction market access varies by state and is subject to regulatory approval in each jurisdiction, so it's worth checking whether it's supported where you live.
We should also add that this is one of the most regulated prediction trading platforms globally, so you can expect over a dozen licenses in total.
Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.
From what we’ve seen, OG is not in the business of competing with Kalshi in areas like politics and entertainment, even though they cover those categories too. The platform’s main focus is sports, including the most mainstream ones like soccer and niche options like college baseball and F1. You’ll find markets from all the top leagues on the website and app.
This is a much newer platform, and it already has fantastic reviews on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Note that availability depends on your state, so it's worth confirming that OG operates where you live before signing up. Moving on from sports, if you click on the “more” option, you’ll find climate, politics, culture, crypto, companies, economics, and finance.
Prediction Trading is facilitated through Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA). Foris DAX Inc. and Foris Inc. (d/b/a OG ) provide access to CDNA, a platform regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), allowing users to trade derivatives in accordance with CDNA’s rules and regulations.
There are only a few people who have heard about event contracts and have not heard about Polymarket. After some time away, they returned to the US market in late November 2025, following CFTC approval of an amended designation order for the exchange Polymarket acquired (QCEX), making it a top alternative to Kalshi. From the table, you’ll see that this contender has 3 more categories than Kalshi, so there are more options for you to choose from.
If you also click on “new,” you’ll find many more categories that you can explore. They are also CFTC licensed, so you are assured of the same level of security that you’re used to on the Kalshi platform. Overall, it is the best place to consider if you have a very broad interest or are curious about current trends across the world.
Robinhood wasn’t always an events contract platform; it was more for regular trading. However, they have been able to ride on the trust they built with their initial product and have become a top Kalshi alternative. You will be able to trade events across 14 categories, including sports prediction markets, foreign exchange, commodities, education, elections, and climate.
Compared to Kalshi, the Robinhood interface is a lot to take in at first glance. You’ll need to take some time to study it so that you can get around more easily. Its apps are fantastic, and we’ve not had to deal with any bugs or crashes so far.
We tried to find the events trading feature for Underdog on the website, but we only saw picks for daily fantasy sports. However, after our account verification, the button for prediction markets became accessible. Also, once we downloaded the dedicated mobile applications for Android and iOS, we were able to explore the prediction markets.
They are obviously sports-first since that has always been their main focus. As such, you can expect markets for NBA, NFL, UFC, and MLB, among others. There are also a few other non-sports markets like politics, economy, and entertainment.
Trading derivatives involves risk and may not be appropriate for all. For more information visit: https://www.nadex.com/rules and https://underdogfantasy.com/rules. For Crypto.com Predictions, the term "pick" refers to a product traded on CDNA.
You can easily pick any other prediction market app and make the basic yes or no picks on outcomes. However, if you want something that matches the quality of services that Kalshi offers, then you have to consider a few key details. Here are the top three things we look for:
Whether you’re using the application or official website, Kalshi remains a secure trading platform. They have measures like SSL encryption in place, plus a very detailed data privacy policy page discussing what happens to any information you provide. Being the first CFTC-regulated exchange dedicated to event contracts, they are answerable to a higher authority in cases where you notice operational issues. Any platform that deserves to be listed as an alternative must tick these boxes because funds and personal information are involved.
The beauty of event prediction market platforms is that they let you predict outcomes of a wide range of possible real-life occurrences. That’s why it is important that every platform provides access to different areas of interest. For instance, football should not be the only sport you can make predictions on, in the same way you shouldn’t be restricted to local political events. The more market depth a platform has, the more appealing it becomes to a wider range of users, and that’s one area where Kalshi excels.
Not every platform is accessible country-wide, and that’s understandable. However, if the platform you choose is available in around 20 states, that's roughly 40% of the country, and is fairly reasonable. We have also seen that some platforms have wider coverage for those who use their website than for those who opt for the downloadable app.
Before you make a pick from the top Kalshi alternative apps here, consider these pros and cons:
While we have shared the best applications that can substitute for Kalshi based on our knowledge and first-hand tests, every user still has a preference.
As such, when you're ready to make a pick from our list, take your time to choose based on the features that appeal to you the most. Also, pay attention to the more general requirements, such as the supported categories, whether the app is available in your state, and how secure it is.
With all of these boxes ticked, you’re up for a good time exploring these prediction market apps like Kalshi. Some of them even have special welcome offers, which can be a good way to start testing them. Click any of the banners on this page to register with the Kalshi alternative you prefer.
All the apps like Kalshi that we have recommended are CFTC-approved. These include Crypto.com, OG, Polymarket, Robinhood, and Underdog, and you can download them from the official app stores. Each app also has a minimum of a 4-star rating on the Play Store and App Store.
Access to a specific prediction market app like Kalshi depends on the state where you live. You will need to check the platform’s terms and conditions to see if your location is excluded. Alternatively, when you download the app or try to access it via the website, you will be geo-blocked if your state is not supported.
While you can’t have multiple accounts on the same prediction trading platform, you can trade with different apps. If you are interested in trying multiple apps like Kalshi, you can click on the banner of those you like and register with them.
All the apps like Kalshi that we have recommended support sports events. To be clear, you can trade on top leagues and tournaments for major sports like football and basketball on Crypto.com, OG, Polymarket, Robinhood, and Underdog.
Prediction markets involve financial risk, and outcomes are never guaranteed. In light of this, trading should always be controlled and enjoyable. Keep your activity in check by following responsible trading practices such as:
Only trade money you can afford to lose and stop when your budget is reached.
Avoid increasing trade size or frequency to recover losses.
Don't trade when stressed, tired, emotional, or under the influence.
Take breaks and avoid letting trading interfere with daily life.
Learn how contracts, pricing, fees, and settlement work before trading.
Use spending limits, account history, or self-exclusion tools where available.
