The World No. 1 recently secured his first PGA Tour win of 2025 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, with a 31-under-par 253. Following this victory, Scheffler has chosen to rest ahead of the upcoming PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, a decision consistent with his practice of skipping tournaments immediately preceding majors to ensure peak performance.

With Quail Hollow preparing to host next week’s PGA Championship, the 2025 Truist Championship will take place at the historic Philadelphia Cricket Club—specifically the Wissahickon Course. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast and recently restored to reflect his original vision, the par-70 course measures just over 7,100 yards. Unlike many “bomb-and-gouge” layouts on Tour, Philly Cricket demands precision, strategy, and respect for classic shot values.
