The 2026 NFL season opens with an NFC North coin flip in the late window: the Green Bay Packers travel to U.S. Bank Stadium to face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 13. Kickoff is still weeks away, but the early markets are already posted, and the
First TD Scorer
market is where the biggest Week 1 payouts live.
Green Bay's backfield carries a clear lead workload into the opener, and the touchdown market has priced it accordingly. Josh Jacobs opens as the shortest number on the board to find the end zone first — and
has posted an interesting First TD Scorer price around him.
Featured Prop: Josh Jacobs First TD Scorer (+500)
on Josh Jacobs to score the first touchdown of the game against the Vikings.
- The board's clear favorite:
Bet365 prices Jacobs' Anytime TD at -115, a roughly 53.5% implied chance and comfortably the shortest anytime number in the game. The book is treating a Jacobs touchdown as close to a coin flip in his favor, which is rare for a road back in a game priced this tightly.
- Predictive Value:
At +500, the First TD market implies roughly a 16.7% chance Jacobs opens the scoring. That reflects genuine concentration of goal-line work rather than a speculative longshot — Green Bay's short-yardage hierarchy runs through him.
- Game script:
A 1.5-point spread and a 45.5-point total point to a tight, evenly matched afternoon in Minneapolis. Green Bay starting as a near pick'em is a positive here: a close game keeps Jacobs' early-down and goal-line workload intact rather than scripting the Packers out of the run game.

Expert Prediction: Packers Vs. Vikings
Utilizing state-of-the-art data analysis and advanced algorithms, the experts at
Dimers
have performed 10,000 simulations of the Packers vs. Vikings matchup.
According to Dimers' predictive analytics model, the
Vikings are more likely to win
at U.S. Bank Stadium. This prediction is based on the model giving the Vikings a
53% chance
of winning the game, with a projected final score of
Vikings 24, Packers 22.
The model also leans to the
Packers covering the 1.5-point spread, with the projected two-point margin sitting right on top of the number. On the total, the model's projected 46-point combined score sits marginally above Bet365's posted 45.5.
These predictions and probabilities are accurate at the time of publication but are subject to potential changes.
Packers Vs. Vikings Best Bet
Our top pick for the Packers vs. Vikings game is to bet on the
Over 45.5 (-110)
at Bet365.
Dimers' model projects 46 combined points, clearing the posted total, and with the spread priced at a near pick'em there is little value to be found on either side of the game line. Two offenses with genuine downfield weapons in a dome environment is the cleaner read here. This expert betting advice is based on world-class modeling and valuable betting intelligence, designed to help you make more informed decisions.
Final Thoughts: Packers Vs. Vikings
Week 1's late window delivers an NFC North rivalry game priced as close to even as the market gets. Minnesota is a 1.5-point home favorite but Green Bay is actually the shorter moneyline at -105, and Bet365's 45.5-point total signals a book expecting both offenses to move the ball at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The headline angle is Josh Jacobs in the touchdown market. At +500 to strike first, he is the shortest First TD price on the board — and if you'd rather back him without needing the opening score, Bet365's
-115
anytime price is the more conservative route to the same read on Green Bay's red-zone hierarchy.
