Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season closes with an AFC West heavyweight under the lights: the Denver Broncos travel to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, September 14. Kickoff is still weeks away, but the early markets are already posted, and the
First TD Scorer
market is where the biggest Week 1 payouts live.
Kansas City's backfield carries the shortest scoring workload into the opener, and the touchdown market has priced it accordingly. Kenneth Walker III opens as the shortest number on the board to find the end zone first — and
has posted an interesting First TD Scorer price around him.
Featured Prop: Kenneth Walker III First TD Scorer (+390)
on Kenneth Walker III to score the first touchdown of the game against the Broncos.
- The board's clear favorite:
Bet365 prices Walker's Anytime TD at -120, a roughly 54.5% implied chance and the only odds-on number on the TD Scorer panel. The next name, J.K. Dobbins, is out at +140, which is the gap the book sees between Kansas City's lead back and the rest of the field.
- Predictive Value:
At +390, the First TD market implies roughly a 20.4% chance Walker opens the scoring. That is short by First TD standards, and it reflects genuine concentration of goal-line work rather than a speculative longshot — Kansas City's short-yardage hierarchy runs through him.
- Game script:
A 2.5-point spread and a 43.5-point total point to a tight, moderately paced Monday nighter at Arrowhead. Neither side is expected to run away with it, which keeps Walker's early-down and goal-line workload intact rather than scripting Kansas City out of the run game.
- The competition:
Dobbins at +550 leads the Denver side of the board, with Rashee Rice next at +700. Travis Kelce and RJ Harvey sit at +800, and everything beyond that is +950 or longer.

Expert Prediction: Broncos Vs. Chiefs
Utilizing state-of-the-art data analysis and advanced algorithms, the experts at
Dimers
have performed 10,000 simulations of the Broncos vs. Chiefs matchup.
According to Dimers' predictive analytics model, the
Chiefs are more likely to win
at Arrowhead Stadium. This prediction is based on the model giving the Chiefs a
59% chance
of winning the game, with a projected final score of
Chiefs 24, Broncos 20.
The model also leans to the
Chiefs covering the 2.5-point spread, with the projected four-point margin clearing the number. On the total, the model's projected 44-point combined score sits marginally above Bet365's posted 43.5.
These predictions and probabilities are accurate at the time of publication but are subject to potential changes.
Broncos Vs. Chiefs Best Bet
Our top pick for the Broncos vs. Chiefs game is to bet on the
Chiefs -2.5 (-120)
at Bet365.
Dimers' model projects a four-point Kansas City win, which clears both the posted number and the key number of three, and laying -120 on the spread is materially cheaper than the -150 the moneyline demands for the same read on the game. This expert betting advice is based on world-class modeling and valuable betting intelligence, designed to help you make more informed decisions.
Final Thoughts: Broncos Vs. Chiefs
Week 1 signs off with an AFC West rivalry game in prime time. Kansas City hosts Denver as a 2.5-point favorite with the moneyline at -150, and Bet365's 43.5-point total signals a book expecting a competitive, defensively contested night at Arrowhead rather than a shootout.
The headline angle is Kenneth Walker III in the touchdown market. At +390 to strike first, he is the shortest First TD price on the board — and if you'd rather back him without needing the opening score, Bet365's
-120
anytime price is the more conservative route to the same read on Kansas City's red-zone hierarchy.
