Canucks vs. Rangers Best Bets

PICK: New York Rangers Team Total Over 4 (+110)

The New York Rangers' offense looks to stay hot as they host the Vancouver Canucks tonight at Madison Square Garden.

New York opened the unofficial second half of the season with a thrilling 5-4 overtime home win against Calgary on Monday night.

New York has now scored 17 goals over their last four games. The Rangers currently sit in third place in the Metropolitan Division, six points behind second placed New Jersey and four points up on Washington.

Despite a coaching change a few weeks ago, when Rick Tocchet replaced Bruce Boudreau, the Canucks' miserable season continues.

Vancouver came out of the break suffering a 5-4 Overtime loss in New Jersey. They have been one of the most putrid defensive teams all season. So let's take a look at their road rankings.

Vancouver is allowing a league worst 4.1 goals per game on the road and they have the league's worst road Penalty Kill, at 65%, which is currently the worst mark in NHL history.

In Five on Five situations, it does not get much better. The Canucks have allowed the fifth most Five on Five goals on the road this season and the fifth most high danger scoring chances.

Now, let's take a look at their goaltending. Colin Delia got the nod in New Jersey which could lead to Spencer Martin going tonight, but I don't think it really matters. In 27 games, Martin has the third worst Save Percentage, at .875. In 12 games, Delia has the 13th worst Save Percentage, at .893.

While the Rangers are only averaging three goals per game at home, where their Power Play is just average, I think their offense has a fantastic matchup tonight.

It is also important to note that the Canucks have won the last five meetings, including two in New York, so I think the Rangers will be ready to go tonight.

I'll go with their Team Total Over 4 - at plus money - so bet New York Rangers Team Total Over 4 (+110) with BetMGM
