Should've Bet That: Looking Back at Week 12 Bets You May Have Missed

We look back through the bets that you might have missed from NFL Week 12 to determine whether they're a sign of things to come, or only a fluke. The team on the Dimers show 'Should've Bet That' also dissects a week in which we rue a number of 'what might have been?' moments.

If you haven't already, you should consider signing up for DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️ as you can turn a $5 pre-game moneyline bet on any game into a free $200 if your team wins.

The Bet: Mike White SZN

It’s Mike White SZN, baby! The Jets made the change during the week, doing away with their No. 2 pick in Zach Wilson in favor of White for their game on Sunday against the Bears and boy, was it an inspired move.

White not only destroyed his passing prop of 211.5 yards, notching 315, but he was also dealing heat, passing for 3 TDs to cash the Over 1.5 passing TDs prop at plus money of +147.

It’s fair to say that we might have seen the last of Wilson this year - so should we jump onboard the Mike White betting train? We think so.

The Bet: Jalen Hurts Over 48.5 Rushing Yards

The Eagles continued on their merry way on Sunday night, playing one of the more entertaining games of the year against the Packers.

Savvy bettors might have been onto this - but some people may be kicking themselves with the Phillies’ electing to counter Green Bay’s elite defense in the air (they rank 4th in the NFL for pass yards allowed of their opponent per game), electing to run for over 300 yards as a team.

Among those who dined out was Jalen Hurts who hit his line in 2 carries, less than 4 minutes into the game. He would end up with 157 rushing yards, meaning those that took his rushing yards as a ladder play are enjoying some very nice profit.

The Packers have Chicago next week and a very run-happy Justin Fields, and it could be worth considering a Fields ladder play.

Should you be fading the Packers' run defense? We discuss in-depth on Should've Bet That!

The Bet: The Red Zone Special

Finally, we end with a unique betting market that you should perhaps be checking out in Week 13. One bettor hit an enormous Red Zone Special, with every team during the 1pm window scoring at least 1 touchdown and 1 field goal, paying more than $20,000 for a $300 outlay.

Sportsbooks often have a special section just for Red Zone specials that are worth checking out for next week. Will this one hit again? We think it may have just been a fluke.
