2022 NFL Futures Betting: Post-Week 13 Updates on MVP, OPOTY, DPOTY and Other Player Awards

We're beginning to rapidly near the end of the season, but we're still diving into the player awards futures markets after an exciting Week 13 in the NFL.

We’ll get into the movement within each market and hopefully point out some good picks for all of them. Each and every Tuesday we’re taking a look at the big movers in each category, so let's get into it.

If you haven't already, you should consider signing up for DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️ as you can turn a $5 pre-game moneyline bet on any game into a free $150 if your team wins.

Betting Updates on MVP, OPOTY, DPOTY and Other Player Awards

Most Valuable Player (MVP)

Things have really heated up in the MVP race with Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts battling it out to be favorite. The Chiefs QB is marginally ahead at +150 but the former ‘Bama and Oklahoma star Hurts isn’t far behind at +185.

Joe Burrow has crept into the third sport at +1000 after taking the Bengals to their fourth win in a row.

Former favorite Josh Allen is next at +1300 with Tua Tagovailoa just behind at +1400.

Offensive Player of the Year (OPOTY)

Tyreek Hill is back as the favorite at +300 with Justin Jefferson, last week’s favorite, slipping to third at +400.

Sandwiched in between those two is Jalen Hurts at +350. Then there's Patrick Mahomes at +1100. I’ve said it before but we simply cannot allow a QB to win both this award and the MVP.

A little further back on +1800 are both Stefon Diggs and Travis Kelce, who are both having sensational seasons.

Defensive Player of the Year (DPOTY)

Micah Parsons was -1250 to be DPOTY last week but he’s moved to -375 now. It’s less of an statement about him and more about who is second in the rankings.

Last week Nick Bosa was +1400 but after that incredible three-sack display against the Dolphins he’s into +400. This award had looked done and dusted but we might just have a competition yet.

Elsewhere, last week’s third favorite Matthew Judon has slipped from +1600 to +5000, tied with Maxx Crosby, with Chris Jones ahead of them both at +3300, but this is all about Parsons vs. Bosa now.

Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY)

That Kenneth Walker III injury has taken him from -165 favorite to +225. The Seahawks RB is still the favorite but Garrett Wilson is hot on his heels at +300, coming in from +800.

Third favorite Christian Watson is now +375 to win this prestigious award, having been recommended in this very column two weeks ago at +3000. I hope you got on board then!

Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROY)

Sauce Gardner is now -550 having been -300 last week and injury permitting he is surely a lock to win this one.

If he’s going to be chased down by anyone it’s Tariq Woolen at +500 or Aidan Hutchinson at +900 but both seem unlikely now. The next nearest competitors are all at odds of +6000 or above.

Coach of the Year (COTY)

Nick Sirianni is -170 to win this and unless the Eagles come unstuck badly in the next few games then it’s surely his award. Kevin O’Connell is next up at +400 having been +700 last week. With Robert Salah third favorite at +1200 having been +600 last week.

The biggest faller was Mike McDaniel who was +550 second favorite last week but after the Dolphins got thumped by the 49ers, he's now available at a best price of +1600.

Comeback Player of the Year (CPOY)

This looked like Saquon Barkley’s award for most of the regular season, then it looked like Geno Smith vs. Saquon but now the Seahawks QB has firmly got his hands on the award.

Smith is a -800 favorite with Barkley far behind at +450. Nobody else is remotely close with Christian McCaffrey and Nick Gates tied for third in the betting and way back at +5000.

Like all boys growing up in the UK, Sam fell in love with soccer, before later falling in love with what they call football on the other side of the Atlantic. His passion for the Premier League is almost as strong as his love of sports betting, a topic he’s been covering for years. One day he hopes his beloved Plymouth Argyle reach the Premier League, but he wouldn’t bet on that happening soon. Sam’s at his best betting on soccer or the NFL.
