Best NBA Bets Today

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Brooklyn Nets, 3:00PM ET

The Blazers will be without Damian Lillard in a meeting with a Nets team that is actually 8-4 against the spread over its last 12 games. Brooklyn is just a team that is looking a lot better right now, which makes it hard to believe in a shorthanded Portland squad keeping this close.

The Nets have the firepower in the backcourt required to match the production of Anfernee Simons, while also having both Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons to guard Jerami Grant. Grant had 44 points against the Knicks two days ago and has been excellent for Portland thus far. But he's going to have a hard time scoring efficiently against two good defenders that have the length to contest all of his shots. Meanwhile, the Blazers don't exactly have guys that can cover Kyrie Irving or Durant in this one. For that reason, it isn't hard to envision this game getting ugly.

The Blazers are 9-19 against the spread when facing teams they lost to at home earlier in the season since Chauncey Billups became head coach.

BET: Nets -7 (-108) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks, 5:00PM ET

We aren't going to get into how embarrassing it is that the Hawks lost to the Rockets after Dejounte Murray tapped Jabari Smith on the back of the head to mock him after a made three in the rookie's face last game. Instead, we'll just note that there were 250 points scored in that game and we're expecting another high-scoring affair out of Atlanta here.

The Over has actually hit in each of the last two games that the Heat have played, with the injury to Jimmy Butler definitely being part of the reason for that. Butler is one of the most tenacious two-way players in the league and he is the heart and soul of what is normally a tough Miami team. Without him, the Heat aren't going to lock in quite as much defensively.

The Hawks are also a team that really doesn't care much about the defensive end of the floor. They're content relying on Murray and Trae Young to win games with their offense.

BET: Over 222.5 Points (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. New York Knicks, 6:00PM ET

The Knicks are coming off of a tough loss to the Blazers, as they just let their opponents live at the free throw line in that one. New York will need to clean that up against Memphis, but we do think the team will find a way to do that and then keep this one close.

This might be a Knicks team that is underperforming to start the year, but they have covered in each of their last two meetings with the Grizzlies. They covered as 4-point underdogs on the road against this Grizzlies squad back in October, and it's just hard to see them not doing the same at Madison Square Garden.

Tom Thibodeau's teams also happen to be 21-7 ATS off home losses of three or fewer points throughout his career and those teams have actually won by an average of 6.0 points per game. He'll have the Knicks amped up and ready to go here.

BET: Knicks +4 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
