Cubs vs. Blue Jays, 7:07PM ET

We've made a habit of attacking the total in games where José Berrios (9-5, 5.28 ERA) has started this year, with the over sitting at 16-9, which is the 4th best return of all pitchers in MLB this year. Of that group of four (Morton, Quantrill and Pivetta also included), Berrios has the worst ERA. Given how many runs he is responsible for, it feels like there is some great value on getting some insurance on the Cubs here, because quite literally, anything could happen if it gets into a shootout. Chicago will be starting Javier Assad for his second appearance of the year after going 4 innings against the Cardinals without giving up a run on August 23. It's a ridiculously small sample size, but this Cubs team is capable of getting an early jump on Berrios and the Blue Jays.

Red Sox vs. Twins, 7:40PM ET

Minnesota completed a clean sweep of the Giants over the weekend to make up some ground on the Guardians at the top of the AL Central and they won't want to stop that momentum as they host the stumbling Red Sox this week. Boston have lost 7 of their last 10 games and will be up against it tonight as they throw in Brayan Bello (0-3, 7.36 ERA) to start on the mound. It's not just that Bello is winless on the year so far, it's that he's also expensive. The scene is perfectly set for the the Twins tonight.

Padres vs. Giants, 9:45PM ET

While neither of these teams have exactly been setting the world on fire lately, it's hard to look past just how awful the Giants have been with four consecutive losses where their offense has been missing. They've scored just 6 runs over those four games and look like they may have checked out for the season. Even though Carlos Rodón (12-6, 2.81 ERA) will be getting the ball to start tonight, we just don't see the SF offense putting up much of a fight against Mike Clevinger (4-5, 3.58 ERA). This might be a bit of a grind to watch, but we expect the Friars to overcome.
