Four bets to make in the WNBA on Friday, July 17

We've got plenty of star power on the court tonight, as well as some exploitable matchups, setting us up with a great slate to bet on.

Bet: Angel Reese over 12.5 rebounds (+102)

Game: Dream vs. Tempo

Right at the top of tonight's leaderboard tonight is Angel Reese at 12.6 rebounds, right alongside her line of 12.5 against the Tempo.

Reese is the league's rebounds leader at 11.8 per game with four games in the single digits since May, hitting 13+ in three of her last four games and reached 17 in one of her matchups with Toronto this year, a mark she reached three times.

Atlanta does allow the highest opponent FG% in the league but Toronto allows the second-most boards and in seven games since the last meeting between these teams, have given up performances of 17, 15, and 14.

Bet: Sydney Taylor 3+ threes made (+140 on FanDuel)

Game: Sparks vs. Sky

There a number of ways to bet on Sydney Taylor that are supported by the Dimers model tonight.

She's projected for the second-most points at 20.5, which would cash multiple plus-money lines beginning with 18+, and her three-point projection of 2.9 is the highest on the slate.

Let's go with the threes tonight against a Sparks team that allows the second-most attempts per game and the worst overall scoring defense in the WNBA.

Taylor has hit this in 3 of 11 games since becoming a starter which isn't a strong trend but the volume is there, and she attempted 7 threes in only 21 minutes against the Sparks a week ago.

12 starters have hit this over the Sparks' last 10 games and the data points to Taylor getting in a rhythm tonight, and she's also an edge play as a first basket scorer.

Bet: Sophie Cunningham 10+ points (+122 on FanDuel)

Game: Storm vs. Fever

We're going a bit deeper for this one, and possibly taking advantage of some injuries for the Fever and a scoring void.

For that reason, you may want to keep an eye on the statuses of Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, both listed as questionable.

Sophie Cunningham projects for 8.5 points, and that's with both Clark and Boston in our projections. Every time she's gone over 10 points in her recent run, all three of Mitchell, Clark and Boston started, and if Clark

Primarily coming off the bench this year, Cunningham has hit this in 6 of her last 12 games going back to the Commissioner's Cup. Three times she's landed right on 9 points.

The Storm are a mid-tier defense overall and Cunningham dropped 17 on them way back in their lone meeting in May.

Bet: Alyssa Thomas over 8.5 assists (+120 on FanDuel)

Game: Sun vs. Mercury

In the late game of the night, we're backing the veteran Alyssa Thomas when the Mercury host her former longtime team, the Connecticut Sun.

After 11 years on the East Coast, she went to Phoenix last season where she instantly averaged her highest assist total of her career at 9.2 per game. She's down to 8.0 this year, but has hit this mark in 8 of her last 12 games, double digits in four of those games and as many as 12 twice.

Thomas gets a 53.4% probability to go over this mark as a top edge play in our WNBA props and she's even a darkhorse play for a triple double (the league's all-time leader) at 15.6 PTS, 7.7 REB and 9.1 AST.

Her teammate, Kahleah Copper, is our highest-projected scorer tonight and both these teams rank in the bottom half of the league in defense, further supporting our cause.
