1. Start with the matchups

Before you simulate a single golfer, you need to confirm the actual pairings being offered.

Matchup markets vary by sportsbook, and by timeframe (whether one round vs. full tournament, so don't assume two big names are paired together just because it feels likely.

Check the book's board first and go from there; there's no point simulating Rory McIlroy vs. Scottie Scheffler if that pairing doesn't actually exist.

2. Find your target matchups

A tournament can have dozens of potential matchups, and simulating all of them isn't necessarily practical (but it is possible).

We recommend you narrow the field with one of two approaches:

Method 1 - Start with evenly-priced matchups: When a sportsbook lists two golfers at the same (or nearly the same) odds, it's unlikely that our model also gives them the exact same probability, marking a pairing to simulate and see if we identify a bigger gap than the book does.

Method 2 - Start with lopsided matchups: Go the other way and look at pairings where the odds are far apart, then check if the model agrees. Instead of suing the Probability option, toggle Fair Odds to see exactly how Dimers prices each golfer.

Sometimes the model will show the sportsbook has the wrong player favored entirely, which is one of the clearest edges you can find.

3. Bet the edges

Once you've compared model probabilities to the books' odds, the bets effectively reveal themselves.

A golfer whose Dimers-projected probability is higher than what the sportsbook's price implies, or an underdog at plus money that the model gives a 50%+ chance of winning the matchup, both signal a mispriced golfer, and any mispriced discrepancy between the two is a matchup worth betting according to our predictions.

4. Additional research

Before locking in your parlay or straight wagers, it never hurts to run a quick sanity check on each golfer with datapoints like recent form, course fit, and head-to-head history between the two players.
