bet365 Alberta is officially set to launch on July 13 as the global sportsbook and online casino operator joins Alberta's new regulated gambling market.

bet365 is officially set to launch in Alberta on July 13 after registering both its sportsbook and online casino platforms ahead of the province's regulated online gambling rollout.

The addition of bet365 Alberta to the provincial registration list marks one of the biggest operator confirmations yet, with the global gambling brand expected to become a major player in Canada's newest regulated market from day one.

Alberta is only the second Canadian province to privatize online gambling after Ontario, and the market is already attracting some of the largest sportsbook and online casino operators in North America.

bet365 Alberta moves from grey market operator to regulated platform

Before regulation, bet365 casino Alberta had already been accessible to many users through offshore grey market operations.

That changes under Alberta's new framework.

The province has modeled much of its regulatory system on Ontario's approach, requiring operators to formally register or risk exclusion from the market.

bet365 followed the same path in Ontario when regulated online gambling launched in 2022, quickly becoming one of the province's strongest betting apps after transitioning into the legal market.

Now Alberta appears set to follow a very similar trajectory.
