A bettor asked AI who would score multiple touchdowns in Week 3. The answer, built on Dimers projections, became a winning 7-pick SGPx.
One question, one AI answer and $30 turned into $19,636.50 in Week 3 NFL on Sunday, September 27.
Before the slate kicked off, a DraftKings user @KidFuggly asked xAI's Grok a simple question: "Who is likely to score more than one touchdown today in the entire NFL slate?"
Grok's answer led with Dimers. Its top recommendation, Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, came straight from Dimers' NFL player projections. The bettor turned that answer into a 7-pick Same Game Parlay Plus (SGPx) on DraftKings, and every leg hit.
The Dimers pick at the top
Grok named Gibbs the single best bet on the slate to score more than once. It cited Dimers data showing Gibbs projected for 1.1 to 1.2 expected touchdowns, with the highest probability of any player on the slate to score two or more, at about 29%.
Grok also pointed to Detroit's standing as a favorite in a game with a 48.5-point total against a Jets defense that had already given up points. Gibbs' role on early downs and as a receiver added to the case.
Dimers had it right. Gibbs cleared the two-touchdown mark as the Lions beat the New York Jets 31-24.
Seven names, seven touchdown scorers
Grok grouped its answer into top candidates and a second tier of players with a realistic shot. The bettor used all seven names, mixing multi-touchdown props for the headliners with anytime touchdown props for the rest.
The final ticket:
Kenneth Walker III, two or more touchdowns (+275). Grok flagged Kansas City as a heavy favorite over a struggling Miami team. The Chiefs won 24-10, and Walker scored twice.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, anytime touchdown (-105). Grok noted the Seattle receiver was coming off a 3-touchdown game and that Washington had already allowed seven passing touchdowns. Smith-Njigba found the end zone in a 33-31 Seahawks loss to the Commanders.
Derrick Henry, two or more touchdowns (+225). Grok highlighted the Ravens-Cowboys game in Rio de Janeiro as having the highest total on the board at 53.5, with Henry as Baltimore's clear goal-line back. His leg was graded a winner with 11:23 left in the second quarter, with the Ravens up 14-10. That sealed the ticket.
Josh Allen and James Cook, both anytime touchdown, in a 2-pick SGP (+190). Grok noted both Bills players had rushing touchdown volume in a game with a 50.5-point total. Both scored as Buffalo beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-16.
Jahmyr Gibbs, two or more touchdowns, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, anytime touchdown, in a 2-pick SGP (+375). Grok pointed out that St. Brown had scored twice in each of Detroit's first two games and faced a banged-up Jets secondary. He scored again, and Gibbs delivered the multi-touchdown game Dimers projected.
The payout:
The NFL parlay carried odds of +32,677. Astonishingly, deploying a 100% DraftKings Parlay Boost doubled that to +65,355, more than 650-1!
On a $30 wager, the ticket paid $19,636.50.
Why the data mattered
