NHL props on Friday, March 13

Though the NHL betting slate features just two games on Friday, March 13, we've found a trio of NHL props to bet on using the Dimers Pro NHL tools.

By carefully comparing today's best player prop value with data-backed NHL trends and statistical insights, we can utilize our NHL predictions to find these NHL goalscorer props that can be played as straight bets or in an NHL parlay.

With the addition of two new prop markets for Dimers Pro users, Points and Assists, we've had more data at our fingertips this season than ever before, and we'll be using those insights to help guide us tonight.

How to find these NHL props

Dimers' NHL tools feature three primary resources for identifying player prop value:

  • NHL Props - identify mispriced lines on the books based on our probabilities
  • NHL Trends -  which highlight hot and cold players
  • NHL Game Predictions -  which feature first & anytime goalscorer probabilities.

Each of these resources presents different datapoints to use in order to narrow down a multi-game slate full of players to a handful of targets worth a look.

Target these NHL players on Friday, March 13

By utilizing all of these Dimers Pro NHL tools, we've identified these players as ideal goalscorer targets tonight, each at a different tier of probability.

1. The Favorite: Leon Draisaitl (Oilers)

Game: Canadiens vs. Senators

Time: 8:00PM ET

First up is the Dimers model's most likely goalscorer on the entire slate, Leon Draisaitl of the Oilers.

He's notably priced slightly longer than his teammate Connor McDavid, who gets a 35.0% probability to score by comparison.

Draisaitl pops up in our NHL trends with a goal in 7 of his L12 games, picking up 5 goals since the Olympics break ended, and he's been a points machine in that span as well, racking up 15 of his 95 points since the league returned, and our model's fair price on Draisaitl would be +125 for a goal tonight.

He'll face the St. Louis Blues, who have been better over their past several games, but rank 26th in the league in goals allowed this season.

2. The Mid-range: Adrian Kempe (Kings)

Game: Kings vs. Islanders

Time: 7:00PM ET

Shifting to the other game, we'll look at another player who's picked up 5 goals since the Olympics break with an even more favorable edge from the Dimers model.

Adrian Kempe has been a force for the Kings as they've begun turning around a five-game losing streak that crossed over the Olympics, tallying a point in all but one game since the league returned.

He leads the team across the board and is the most likely player to score in tonight's game per our model's goalscorer probabilities and Kempe's fair odds to score would be +165 based on his 37.6% chance.

The Islanders defense is ranked 5th in the NHL but they've allowed their share of goals lately, with tonight's starter Ilya Sorokin allowing 3+ goals in 4 of 5 since the break.

3. The Longshot: Jean-Gabriel Pageau (Islanders)

Game: Kings vs. Islanders

Time: 7:00PM ET

The final player we're looking at gets the longest odds of them all but the highest edge on the other side of the Kings-Islanders matchup.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau gets just under a 22% probability to score, a big value at fair odds of +355 well short of his odds of +475 on the books.

He's got 15 goals on the season and 3 since the break and he's one of the most efficient shooters in the league, scoring on nearly 24% of all his SOG, the highest of all players who have played in at least 50 games this season.

Projected Kings starting goalie Darcy Kuemper has given up 3+ goals in all but one start since the break, and Pageau pops up with an edge in both his Points and Goal markets, identifying a correlated positive opportunity from the model.

NHL goalscorer parlay odds: +3425

While each of these NHL prop picks carries standalone value at their identified sportsbook, bettors looking for a longshot backed by data can play them together at odds of +3425 on DraftKings Sportsbook, which has the best odds for this parlay.
