2026 Genesis Scottish Open predictions: Will Scottie Scheffler win overseas?
The PGA TOUR moves overseas for the Genesis Scottish Open and we're back with the best Dimers model bets for the tournament.

The PGA TOUR moves overseas for the Genesis Scottish Open, teeing off from Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12, and as always, we're back with the Dimers golf betting predictions to find the best golfers worth betting on to win this weekend's tournament.
In a similar event with the top-heavy feel of a major, we cashed in with Cameron Young to win THE PLAYERS at +4000, and recently, we identified Eric Cole as a misprice at +10500 at the Travelers, and while he didn't go on to win, he finished as a big first-round leader longshot.
This event serves as the tune-up for the final major of the year, The Open, so expect these golfers at their best this weekend.

2026 Genesis Scottish Open preview
- Date: July 9 - July 12, 2026
- Location: North Berwick, Great Britain
- Course: The Renaissance Club
- Par: 70 / 7,282 yards
The Genesis Scottish Open returns to The Renaissance Club, drawing a field headlined by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, with six of the top ten in the Official World Golf Ranking in the mix.
Now in its fifth year as a PGA Tour co-sanctioned event, the tournament boasts one of its strongest fields yet, and will feature several LIV Golf players back into competition against the PGA Tour's best.
The Renaissance Club, while not a traditional links layout, features links-style tradition through its coastal exposure, firm turf, and deep bunkers. The slower putting surfaces will test PGA TOUR players in ways their DP World Tour counterparts know well, so don't look past some of the less familiar names here, either.
At 7,282 yards and a par of 70, featuring two par 5s, five par 3s, and eleven par 4s, the course demands precision as much as length, with wide, generous fairways that still require smart positioning off the tee given the firm, fast conditions and penal bunkering that awaits any miss.
With the volatility of the wind in mind, Strokes Gained: Approach and off-the-tee performance are likely to be big separators this weekend in Scotland.
Who will win the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open?
Our win predictions are the result of simulating the tournament over 10,000 times via our AI models, as well as each golfer's odds to finish Top 5, 10 and 20:
| Golfer | Win% | Top 5% | Top 10% | Top 20 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Scottie Scheffler | 19.1% | 49.0% | 65.0% | 78.9% |
| 2. Rory McIlroy | 7.1% | 27.0% | 42.3% | 61.0% |
| 3. Matt Fitzpatrick | 5.8% | 21.6% | 37.5% | 56.1% |
| 4. Wyndham Clark | 4.7% | 18.8% | 32.2% | 51.0% |
| 5. Tommy Fleetwood | 4.7% | 21.5% | 36.0% | 55.0% |
For each tournament, we look at the golfers our model has identified with a higher probability to win than what is implied by the sportsbook odds.

Genesis Scottish Open Championship best bets, sleepers and longshot picks
Dimers' most likely: Scottie Scheffler to win (+600 on bet365)
Win probability: 19.1%
Dimers' fair odds: +425
The World No. 1 enters as Dimers' most likely winner at +600 on bet365, with a model-projected 19.1% chance to claim the title.
It's telling that anything short of a win now qualifies as a "struggle" for the World No. 1, a reflection of just how dominant his year has been, even when he's not winning. He has eight Top 5s aside from his season-opening win, and four of those were runner-ups, two in a playoff.
Whatever happens at The Renaissance Club, Scheffler remains firmly atop the FedExCup standings, and this week's crowded leaderboard of top-10 players will have to play their best golf simply to make it interesting.
He's finished T3 and T8 here before, is a handful of strokes away from being a five-time winner this season and gets one of his best prices all year.
Dimers' best value: Tyrrell Hatton to win (+3300 on bet365)
Win probability: 4.3%
Dimers' fair odds: +2225
The Englishman from LIV stands out as Dimers' top value play at +3300 on bet365, with a 4.3% win probability against fair odds of +2225.
Between his +3300 odds and +2225 fair odds, this represents the biggest aside from a true darkhorse
Hatton knows this venue well, having posted four top-25 finishes on the DP World Tour in four career starts at The Renaissance Club, including a personal-best T6 in 2023.
He arrives rested off a T7 finish at the U.S. Open and carries the pedigree of a T3 showing at the Masters earlier this year, giving him both the course history and recent form to back up the value as he gears up for his fourth run at a major this season next week.
Matt Fitzpatrick to win (+2150 on DraftKings)
Win probability: 5.8%
Dimers' fair odds: +1625
In some great form, Matt Fitzpatrick enters the value conversation at +2150 on DraftKings, with Dimersour model projecting a 5.8% chance to win against fair odds of +1625.
His 2026 season has been outstanding, with three wins, two runner-ups and punctuated most recently by a solo fourth at the Travelers Championship, and there's no indication that momentum is slowing with only two finishes outside the To p20 in his pat 11 events dating all the way back to THE LPAYERs in March.
Fitzpatrick also brings a strong track record to this specific course, having racked up two top-10 finishes at The Renaissance Club since 2021, including a solo 4th here last year.
Bud Cauley to win (+10000 on FanDuel)
Win probability: 1.5%
Dimers' fair odds: +6565
For the deep longshot in the mix at +10000 on FanDuel, look at Bud Cauley with the Dimers model giving him a 1.5% win probability against fair odds of +6565.
While he doesn't carry the pedigree or the swath of results of the other three, the odds gap still marks him as a live outsider worth a flyer for anyone looking to round out a longshot ticket this week at The Renaissance Club.
He won last month in Canada, and picked up a T26 at the PGA Championship, and his well-rounded game off the tee and on approach should make these odds seem much too long by the weekend.
