Two bets to make in the WNBA on Saturday, July 7
Tonight features two stars of the game, Paige Bueckers and Alyssa Thomas, with both props pointing towards big offensive nights for them both.
Bet: Paige Bueckers top points scorer (+177 on DraftKings)
Game: Wings vs. Liberty
We cashed in with Paige Bueckers last week and we're going back to last year's No. 1 overall pick and future league MVP tonight.
Bueckers is our top-projected scorer in this game at 19.8 points, just edging out Breanna Stewart at 19.3. She's on a heater, tallying 27, 25, 25, 25 and 22 points in her past five games, emerging as the top scorer in her past three.
The Wings offense funnels through the young star while the Liberty are a bit more well-rounded - though it's Stewart leading the way most nights, and despite impressive back-to-back games of 25 and 36 points, those were her only two games north of 20 in nearly a month, and she was the top scorer just once out of those.
The top scorer on the opposing team ahs put up 24 points in 5 of the Liberty's past 10 games, and Bueckers is better than all of them.
Bet: Alyssa Thomas to get 10+ assists (+172 on DraftKings)
Game: Sky vs. Mercury
The Dimers model actually finds an edge on Alyssa Thomas to clear both her AST (8.5) and REB (7.5) lines tonight as standalone value bets, which puts a double double on the radar.
But, at odds of +100, let's look at the individual assist line instead. AT has cleared her line of 8.5 assists in 7 of her last 10 games, and has double-digit assists four times this year, three of those in her past seven games.
We project her for 9.6 assists tonight, above her season average of 8.4, signaling a big night vs. the Sky. Her teammate, Kahleah Copper, is on a scorching streak, with 25+ points in five of her last seven games, two of which were Thomas' double-digit games.
