NFL Week 1 Predictions: 4 player prop streaks Dimers' projections model expects to continue

NFL Week 1 is underway but the first Sunday of NFL betting action kicks off at 1PM ET on Sunday, September 13. A new season introduces plenty of unknown factors at the beginning of the year: players who have changed teams, shifting roles and new schemes can all make navigating the early weeks of the season difficult.

Sometimes, the best way to look forward is to look back, and that's what we're doing with our NFL predictions for Week 1.

We've identified four players who hit their Week 1 prop lines in five straight games to close 2025, each appearing in our NFL props trends, and who our NFL player projections expect to continue those streaks to open 2026.

WR Michael Wilson (Cardinals)

Trend: Over 41.5 receiving yards

Game: Cardinals vs. Chargers

Arizona's Michael Wilson signed a three-year, $75 million extension with $47 million guaranteed on September 3, cementing him as a focal point of the Cardinals' offense after a breakout 2025 with 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns, including a stretch of 56 catches for 775 yards and six scores over his final eight games once Jacoby Brissett took over at quarterback.

He cleared this mark in his final 5 games and in 7 of his last 8.

Brissett will return as the starter ahead of rookie Carson Beck, and the chemistry is expected to show up in a Week 1 matchup with the Chargers in which the Cardinals will likely be trailing in most of the game.

He's cleared 40.5 receiving yards in five straight appearances, and by cross-referencing with Dimers' NFL player projections, he's predicted for 46.8 yards against the Chargers, enough to back the Over at -113.

RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (Jaguars)

Trend: Over 36.5. rushing yards

Game: Jaguars vs. Browns

Jacksonville's Chris Rodriguez Jr. arrives in Florida with a fresh start.

After three seasons in Washington that included 500 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 112 carries in 2025, he signed with the Jaguars as their first free-agent addition of the offseason, reuniting with head coach Liam Coen, who coached him at Kentucky in 2021.

He steps into a backfield that lost Travis Etienne Jr. to New Orleans, and while the room still includes Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr., neither has done enough to separate themselves as the clear RB1.

Tuten projects for 50.1 rushing yards and Dimers projects 40.3 rushing yards for Rodriguez against Cleveland, extending a streak of five straight games clearing 36.5.

WR Jauan Jennings (Vikings)

Trend: Over 22.5 receiving yards

Game: Vikings vs. Packers

Minnesota's Jauan Jennings is possibly the biggest shake-up of the group, but also projected to go over by the most yards.

After two productive seasons in San Francisco that included a career year in 2025 with 77 catches, 975 yards and nine touchdowns, Jennings signed a one-year deal worth up to $13 million with the Vikings this offseason, filling the WR3 void left by Jalen Nailor's departure to Las Vegas.

He now shares a passcatching room with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson with fellow NFC West alum Kyler Murray stepping in at QB, but Dimers still likes his role enough to project 29.1 receiving yards in the opener against Green Bay, extending an Over 22.5 streak that's hit not just in six straight games, but in all but two of his 17 games played last season.

RB Chuba Hubbard (Panthers)

Trend: Under 55.5 rushing yards

Game: Panthers vs. Bears

Carolina's Chuba Hubbard is looking to rebound after claiming and then losing the starting gig in Carolina's backfield last season, but the trend on him actually points the other way.

Hubbard signed a four-year, $33.2 million extension back in 2024, presumably locking in his role as Carolina's clear RB1 for 2026, but he ceded the job to Rico Dowdle last season, and came in under 60.5 rushing yards in five consecutive games to close the year, including the playoffs.

He only cleared this line in four games all season.

Dowdle is gone, but Jonathan Brooks appears to be fully rehabbed from knee injuries that have sidelined him since being drafted, and will be looking to secure his next contract.

Dimers projects just 51.5 yards for Hubbard against Chicago, pointing to a challenging game for Hubbard on the ground.
