Should've Bet That: Looking Back at Week 4 Bets You May Have Missed

We look back through the bets that you might have missed from NFL Week 4 to determine whether they're a sign of things to come, or only a fluke. The team on the Dimers show 'Should've Bet That' also dissects a week in which we rue a number of 'what might have been?' moments.

If you’re looking to bet on the NFL, then you should consider signing up with FanDuel Sportsbook ➡️ here ⬅️ as you can make a risk-free bet of up to $1,000. You know you’ll be on the couch watching the games anyway, so why not make a big play using house money for this weekend's football games?

The Bet: Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Mike Evans 2-TD parlay

Sunday Night Football was a memorable night for the gambling community with a high scoring game leading to some big tickets cashing. There was perhaps none bigger than this 2+ touchdown parlay that was cashed before halftime when Edwards-Helaire and Evans each scored two touchdowns to cash this +20522 monster.

This is the second time in four weeks that CEH has scored 2+ touchdowns. In Week 1 we brushed it aside — but maybe it is time to pay Edwards-Helaire more respect for the rest of the season.

The Bet: Taysom Hill anytime TD +440

Heading across the pond now to London where the Vikings and Saints kicked off the Sunday slate with an entertaining game where the Saints fell agonizingly short of forcing overtime at the end of regulation.

With a number of touchdowns and absences due to injury of both Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara, bettors would have to be kicking themselves if they didn’t place a wager on the New Orleans’ Swiss Army knife, Hill, to score at big plus odds of +440. The versatile Hill was at his best in the red zone for the Saints on Sunday, ultimately taking a snap as a quarterback and fooling the Vikings defense to run it into the endzone.

If Winston misses more time, Hill is someone we should absolutely be betting on going forward.

The Bet: Geno Smith Over Passing Yards

Smith has been cooking over the past two weeks for the 2-2 Seahawks (FYI, the Broncos are also 2-2), going for 320 yards against the Lions in Week 4 after notching 325 against the Falcons in Week 3.

He faces a tougher test against the Saints next week, who rank ninth in the league for fewest passing yards given up to their opponents in the NFL. Geno is capable of pulling off magic again, but we want to see how next week goes before we feel comfortable backing Smith to keep this up.
