Free CFB Picks For Saturday September 25, 2021
Rutgers vs. Michigan, Sat Sept 18, 3:30pm (EST)
BET: Rutgers +20.5 with Caesars Sportsbook (-104)
This is not the Rutgers team you are accustom to. This is a Greg Schiano led and recruited Scarlet Knight football team. Schiano faces his first real test of the season after starting 3-0 vs. the likes of Temple, Syracuse, and Delaware. While I don’t expect Rutgers to win this game, I do believe they will be able to continue their streak of mistake free football (no turnovers) and have their defense keep them in it the entire time. Schiano is very familiar with Michigan from his time as OSU’s defensive coordinator and has had a year to build this program back up to his standards.
Liberty vs. Syracuse, Fri Sept 24, 8:00pm (EST)
BET: Total points OVER 52 with Caesars Sportsbook (-110)
The Orange are coming over a 62-24 trouncing Albany, which may not be much to write home about, but it’s the second game this season they topped 29 points. Liberty is no slouch in the scoring department with two outings of 45+ under their belt. One of the biggest reasons I love this play is Syracuse Running back Sean Tucker. He is electric with the ball in his hands and can score from anywhere on the field. Last week, he was the first Orange football player to have 100 yards rushing and receiving in a game. So far, he has 7 TDs on the season and should be instore for another big game. One point worth mentioning is that these two teams played last season and final was 38-21 Liberty. I expect a different outcome, but the same amount of scoring.
Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State, Sat Sept 18, 7:30pm (EST)
BET: Total points UNDER 46 with Caesars Sportsbook (-110)
Both teams are rolling into this Big 12 showdown 3-0 and have shown the ability to stop the run; OK State is allowing 2.6 yards per rush and K-State is allowing only 1.9 yards per rush. Starting Kansas State QB Skylar Thompson continues to be out with a knee injury and Sophomore Will Howard is expected to start in his place. Howard has thrown for 10 attempts and 17 attempts in his last 2 games with only 1 passing TD. On the other side, OK State has failed to eclipse 28 points so far this season and have relied heavily on their defense to win games. I expect a low scoring affair with minimal splash plays and project OK State moves to 4-0 with a 24-17 victory on Saturday.
