Predictions and bets for Braves @ Phillies
The Phillies and Braves will be hoping that the Philadelphia weather is a little kinder today as they head into battle.
Yesterday’s series opener was postponed due to inclement weather which gave both teams a day of rest.
The Phillies have elected not to play Friday’s scheduled pitcher, Vince Velasquez, instead shifting him to Sunday’s game which leaves Jake Arrieta opening things up for Philadelphia. We were confident on the Phillies yesterday but the line-up change has provided us with some food for thought.
Dimers' Suggested Plays
Lock: Braves +1.5 (-200*)
Moneyline: Braves (+100*)
Run line: Under 10 (-105*)
Lock
Our model likes the Braves to win today in a low scoring game. For those looking for a little extra insurance for the away team, we recommend taking the +1.5 on offer.
Moneyline
The Braves are in far superior form to start the season, going 9-5. Their starting pitcher today, Kyle Wright, is 0-1 so far but we predict he will be notching his first win in this one.
Run line
Both sides have experienced some low scoring matches in their last few outings with Atlanta in particular showing they can lock down opponents and keep the score lines down. We predict this to continue today.
Dimers' take-out
There should be no weather issues in the City of Brotherly Love today with a hot and clear day forecast. The Braves +1.5 are the ultimate parlay booster but for some value we recommend taking the under as well.
