Avalanche vs. Blues, 8:00 PM ET

PICK: Avalanche Moneyline (-165)

After taking a beating in game one, the Blues took it to Colorado. The star players for the Avalanche no longer moved freely. The passing lanes were clogged up, the shot lanes were blocked, and the Avs looked ineffective. Was this a byproduct of unprecedented changes by the Blues Coach, or did the Avs players take the Blues too lightly? I believe it was a combination of both.

When you look at both rosters, top to bottom, it’s obvious who’s the better team. Some will argue that the Avs aren’t built for playoff hockey. They aren’t physical enough, or they don’t take the body. Yeah, that’s ridiculous. While it’s true, they have had issues in the past in the second round of the playoffs, that has more to do with hockey being a game of razor-thin margins and them getting unlucky. Their roster is just too talented not to overcome those margins this year.

Colorado is the better team in every facet of the game.

Tonight, we roll with the Avs.
