The Avalanche have won 5 games in a row and have scored at least 4 goals in 4 of those games, totaling 23 goals in that span.

The recently returning Valeri Nuchiskin has solidified this forward group. While the Avs got big Val back, star defenseman Cale Makar has missed the last 3 games with a lower body injury.

His status for tonight remains uncertain but the Avs still have plenty of firepower. Colorado is currently 2 points behind the Flames for the final Wildcard spot in the West and they are 1 point behind the Wild for 3rd in the Central.
