Giants vs. Eagles Odds and Betting Lines

Will The Giants Cover The Spread?

The Giants only lost by six the last time they played the Eagles in Philadelphia, and they should be feeling pretty good about their win over the Vikings. "Rust vs. rest" is always an interesting argument in the postseason, and it will be put to the test here. New York has all the momentum in the world after a gem of a game from Daniel Jones and the Giants offense.

New York is also 14-4 ATS since Brian Daboll became the head coach of the team, and the Giants are also 9-2 ATS versus teams with winning records in that span. These situations bring out the best in this group, so let's see what New York is made of.

Will The Eagles Cover The Spread?

Philadelphia has the opportunity to expose a New York team that really isn't as good as its record suggests. The Giants did find a way to beat a similarly overrated Vikings team last game, but going on the road and beating the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field is a whole other story. This crowd is going to be amped up and ready to help its defense find the energy it needs to slow down the Giants rushing attack. That will then make things more difficult on Jones to throw.

As for Philadelphia's offense, it's hard to envision New York finding a way to stop it. Jalen Hurts is too dangerous as a dual-threat quarterback, and he has the weapons he needs to make big plays in the passing game. The Giants' only chance of winning this one is matching the Eagles' offensive production. We don't see that happening.

ANALYSIS: Why the Eagles are the best bet to win the Super Bowl

Why The Over Will Hit

Philadelphia has had an extra week to scheme up ways to attack this New York defense and Nick Sirianni is too good of a coach not to take advantage of that. We expect the Eagles to put up a big number in this one, which will then force the Giants to open things up and force Jones to make big throws. He might not be able to make enough to keep his team in the game, but the Giants should do enough to help Over bettors cash.

These teams combined to score 70 points in their first meeting, but they combined for only 38 in the most recent game. Look for this one to look more like the first one.

Why The Under Will Hit

The Eagles aren't just a team that can score the football. They are loaded with playmakers on the defensive side of the ball, and those guys will be amped up and ready to make plays here. With that said, this could be a bit lower in scoring if New York really commits to feeding Saquon Barkley and limiting big plays over the top on the other side of the ball.

The Under is 32-16 in the games New York has played over the last three seasons, so this isn't a team that normally gets stuck in high-scoring games.

Giants vs. Eagles Prediction

Lean: Over 48

We think the Eagles are going to put on a clinic offensively in this game, so this number just doesn't look high enough to us — especially with the Giants fresh off a game in which they scored 31 points.
