NFL Futures 2023: Super Bowl Winner Predictions and Bets

After a scorching summer, the 2023 NFL season is just days away. Ahead of Thursday night's kickoff between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, we're breaking out the crystal ball to determine the three Super Bowl winner bets that you should be making right now before the odds change - with a little help from the DimersBOT NFL Best Bets model - to determine the teams that represent the best value for bettors.

The Eagles were one of the surprising teams last season, marching all the way to Super Bowl LVII and almost winning the damn thing before falling just short to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Now, Philadelphia enter the new season with expectations, not just from their fans but bettors as well. Jalen Hurts and his men will go into this year as second favorite on the betting board at +800, just behind the team that vanquished them in February's decider in the Kansas City Chiefs +600.
According to the Dimers NFL model, however, the Eagles should be classified as favorites - especially coming from the weaker NFC. Our NFL Picks predictor has them as the highest probability to win it all at a 14.2% mark, implying fair odds of +604. With extremely winnable games to begin the season against the Patriots, followed by the Vikings, Buccaneers and Commanders, expect those odds to shorten if they can get Ws in all of them.
There will be no better time to bet on Philly than right now, but if Super Bowl Futures aren't your jam, then maybe take them to win the NFC as one of your futures parlay picks.

San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl

The Niners have been one of the most interesting teams of the off-season. Making the decision soon after their campaign ended in the NFC Championship Game to roll with Brock Purdy as QB1 for 2023, they traded away Jimmy Garoppolo to the Raiders, and then moved Trey Lance on to the Cowboys. While Purdy was impressive after coming in mid-year last season, there's no doubt that they are weaker at that position than most of the other major contenders; but will it matter?
The legend of Kyle Shanahan continues to grow, and it's enough for our model to make them our second most likely Super Bowl winner behind the Eagles. We're slightly more bullish on their chances than the sportsbooks who have listed them fourth in betting to lift the Lombardi Trophy. They are one of our Best Bets, and worth betting now.

New Orleans Saints to win the Super Bowl

Almost every year throws up a team that seemingly comes from nowhere to catapult themselves into a contender - could this be the year of the Saints? Derek Carr has moved from Vegas to Bourbon St where he'll try to lead his team to the top of a relatively weak NFC South. At a 3.9% of winning the Super Bowl, admittedly the implied odds of +2464 are pretty large, but not as big as the +4000 odds you can currently get for them with FanDuel Sportsbook. With only really Carolina a chance to challenge them in this Division, it figures that those odds will shorten up significantly closer to playoffs. This ticket is a good early cash out candidate if you're looking to make a return on investment rather than a speculative pick.
