NFL 2021 - Week 2 Betting Trends: Favorites come through at the moneyline

Welcome to our new weekly article, where we highlight some of the top betting trends identified across the NFL in Week 2 of the 2021 season.
This week saw a return to form for the favorites after Week 1 saw an incredible 11 underdogs win their games. It was another great weekend for football fans, with multiple thrilling games and a host of superstars putting up BIG numbers.
But in addition to sitting on the couch and watching about 20 hours of football, this weekend also saw us continuing our love of betting on the NFL, with a couple of trends in particular standing out.

Favorites went 11-5 at the moneyline in NFL Week 2
The betting favorites bounced back this week, with 11 of 16 coming out on top, with the biggest upset coming when the Seahawks lost to the Titans (+260) in the late slate on Sunday.
The shortest priced favorites to win this week were the Browns, who started as 13.5 favorites against the Texans, with their moneyline odds sitting at -690 at kick-off.
Stars go for multiple touchdowns in Week 2
It was a great week for prop bettors, with a host of stars around the league getting in for 2 or more touchdowns! Highlighted by Aaron Jones going for 4 TDs on Monday Night Football, receivers and rushers alike had big weekends across the board.
Other big names that got in for six on multiple occasions include: Cooper Kupp (2 TDs), Zack Moss (2), Mike Evans (2), Rob Gronkowski (2), Derrick Henry (3), Chris Carson (2) and Lamar Jackson (2).
