Free MLB Picks for Tuesday June 14, 2022

Rays vs. Yankees, 7:05PM ET

Gerrit Cole is coming off one of the toughest starts of his career, getting taken yard with the first three batters he pitched to against the Twins last week. He should be able to shrug that off and take care of a Rays team that struggles to score - ranked in the bottom 10 of the MLB for runs scored per game. With a recent start against Tampa Bay a couple of weeks back where he registered 10 Ks, this will be a bounce back spot for the New York ace. Expect a low scoring game.

Reds vs. Diamondbacks, 9:40PM ET

These two teams generally like combining for high scoring games and we look set for another one tonight when the Reds and DBacks meet for the second time in as many nights in downtown Phoenix. The D-Backs will send Zach Davies (2-3, 4.21 ERA) to the mound, while the Reds are going with Tyler Mahle (2-5, 5.07 ERA). Both pitchers have struggled to keep the runs down this season and will be challenged to do so here.

Royals vs. Giants, 9:45PM ET

Webb vs. Bubic - starting pitcher duels don't get much more lopsided than this. Bubic is operating on a 9.33ERA so far this year for the Royals, a team that is already pretty ordinary. After a 6-2 win to open the series last night, San Francisco will be pushing their foot down on the throats of Kansas City right from the get go tonight.
