Padres vs. Phillies, 1:05PM ET

After splitting the series so far, the Padres and Phillies reconvene this afternoon for the third time, and we're expecting runs. The Friars will be going with Yu Darvish to start on the hill while Philadelphia will be giving the ball to Kyle Gibson. Both pitchers have been getting Ws, but leaking runs, with ERAs of 4.62 and 4.10 respectively. Both have a tendency to bleed runs in the early innings as well which makes this pick a simple one.

White Sox vs. Royals, 2:10PM ET

Speaking of starting pitchers giving up runs, the hitters in this White Sox/Royals game will be licking their lips seeing the starting assignments for today's battle. The Royals will send Carlos Hernández (0-3, 9.11 ERA) to the mound, pitting him against Vince Velasquez (2-3, 5.53 ERA) for the White Sox. Both ballclubs rank in the bottom half of the MLB for opponent runs per game. This could be fun.

Rangers vs. Astros, 7:06PM ET

No doubt still coming down off a high after last night's extra-inning walkoff win over the Angels, the Rangers have to suit up for a new series against one of the best teams in baseball in the Astros in Houston tonight. Texas won 3 in a row against the Halos this week, banging in 23 runs. While they do come up against a resolute Astros defense, scoring form like that cannot be ignored. We know Houston will apply run pressure - they're going up against Glenn Otto (1-1, 6.38 ERA) - we think the Rangers can do the same.
