It seem crazy, but we're fading Jacob deGrom. The Mets ace, who has been the ever reliable rock of this New York team for so long, hasn't had a great past month. In his last three starts, against the Athletics, Pirates and Cubs, deGrom has given up a home run in each of them. That's very concerning against those teams. Tonight he matches up against one of the best teams in the league and a batting lineup that isn't particularly afraid of him - including Austin Riley. The Braves hitter has hit deGrom for two home runs in his career and has a .294 avg to go along with it. If deGrom is vulnerable, Riley is the guy tonight.

Flaherty last met this Bucs hitting lineup on September 10, giving up two home runs to Jack Suwinski and Rodolfo Castro. We're going back to the well on Suwinski who registered 2 hits against Flaherty that night and is looking like a strong option in this Pittsburgh lineup.
