But a new series presents new opportunities, and the Red Sox hitters will be looking to get back on track against the White Sox and starting pitcher Vince Velasquez (1-2, 4.58 ERA). With Boston sending out Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 2.51 ERA), there should be an emphasis from the Red Sox offense to attack early and defend their lead.

The Twins looked pretty ordinary last night in a loss to the Orioles where they just couldn't stop giving up home runs, however, with Josh Winder (1-0, 2.20 ERA) in tonight and an Athletics team who are struggling with 6 straight L's, we're expecting a bounceback tonight to open up their weekend series.

Tigers vs. Astros, 8:10PM ET

While Houston were a little sluggish last night against the Tigers, they were still up by 2 runs and had Detroit down to their very last strike last night before the Tigers clubbed a 2-run homer to tie things up, causing a response in the 'stros which resulted in a walkoff win in the bottom of the 9th. We're not expecting that kind of lethargic performance from them tonight against one of the worst teams in the league.
