Reds vs. Brewers Best Bets

Friday, August 5, 2022 - 8:10 pm ET

PICK: Milwaukee Brewers Team Total Over 4.5 (-141)

The Brewers begin a three-game weekend series tonight against the Reds, at American Family Field. The Brewers have lost four in a row and are coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates. With that in mind, the team is likely due for a big performance, so you might want to claim our Dimers exclusive BetMGM get $20 free + a risk-free bet up to $1,000 offer, just for signing up with their world-class sportsbook. You can find that offer HERE.

Milwaukee's NL Central division lead has vanished, as the team is now tied with the St. Louis Cardinals. Luckily, the Brewers have a favorable match-up tonight, as they face a Reds team that they have beat up on all season long. The Brewers are 7-2 against the Reds this season and they are averaging 8.1 runs per game in those nine contests, scoring at least five runs in each of them.

The Reds will send Robert Dugger to the mound for this contest, and he has a 4.50 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP in three appearances this year — with two of those coming with the Reds. Milwaukee will likely be looking forward to getting a go at him.

Behind Dugger is a Reds bullpen that has an ERA of 5.13, which is the worst in the majors. I think the Brewers offense should be able to break out tonight and start this series with a win. At the very least, I would expect them to put up a lot of runs in a loss.
