Rangers vs. Red Sox Best Bets

Thursday, September 1, 2022 - 7:10PM ET

PICK: Rangers at Red Sox Over 10 (+114)

The Texas Rangers travel to Boston to open up a 4 game weekend series against the Red Sox at Fenway park tonight. That makes this a good time to claim Dimers' exclusive BetMGM get $20 free + a risk-free bet up to $1,000 offer, just for signing up with their world-class sportsbook. You can find that offer ➡️ here ⬅️.

Both of these teams are pretty much out of the Wild Card Race as the Red Sox sit 8 games out of the last Wild Card spot and the Rangers are 12 games out.

Texas is coming off a 2 game series against Houston in which they lost both games. They have now lost 4 in a row. Boston salvaged the last game of a 3 game series in Minnesota with a 6-5 win last night.

The Pitching matchup pits Glen Otto for the Rangers against Rich Hill for Boston. Otto is 6-8 on the season with a 4.79 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. The Texas Right Hander does have a 3.23 road ERA with a 1.27 WHIP however. Rich Hillis 6-5 on the season with a 4.32 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP.

At Fenway this season, the Left Hander has an ERA of 5.54 and a WHIP of 1.42. Hill is coming off a home start in which he went 7 shutout innings against Tampa Bay however.

The Rangers have been hitting very well since the All Star Break. Texas is averaging 4.6 runs per game, good enough for 7th in the majors. They have hit lefties very well this season as they are averaging 5.5 runs per game against southpaws.

The Red Sox are always a threat to hit at home. Boston is averaging 4.5 runs per game at home this season. Over the last 30 days both bullpens have struggled as the Red Sox have a 5.56 ERA, which is 2nd highest in the majors, and the Rangers have a 4.18 ERA, which is 10th highest in the majors.

The weather is conducive to the over tonight as the wind is blowing out to right.

There should be some runs in the series opener so I bet an Alternate line of 10 (+114) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️ and claim an awesome new customer bonus while you're at it.
