Jacksonville Jaguars 2022 Win Total Prediction, Computer Picks and Super Bowl Odds

The 2022 NFL season is firmly on the horizon and over the coming weeks the Dimers team will break down the chances of each and every team, all vying for Super Bowl 57 glory in Glendale, Arizona come February.

Dimers.com contributor Tony Bellissimo takes a look at the key factors to consider when betting on the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022.

Just when it couldn’t get any worse in Jacksonville, it did. The Jaguars are eager for a fresh start following the Urban Meyer debacle, and the fanbase is excited about the hiring of Doug Pederson.

Jacksonville Jaguars Win Total Prediction, Computer Picks and Super Bowl Odds

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • 2021 Record: 3-14, 4th place AFC South (missed playoffs)
  • 2021 ATS: 5-12
  • Key off-season losses: Myles Jack LB, D.J. Chark WR
  • Key off-season addition: Doug Pederson HC, Christian Kirk WR, Brandon Scherff G, Zay Jones WR, Evan Engram TE, Darious Williams DB, Foley Fatukasi DT, Travon Walker DE (No. 1 overall pick)

Jacksonville Jaguars 2022 Win Total - 6.5

There’s no shortage of work to be done by Doug Pederson and his staff, including speeding the progress of second-year QB Trevor Lawrence (12 TDs, 17 INTs.) Owner Shad Khan opened up his wallet during the offseason to bolster the roster, and for a second-straight year the Jaguars had the No. 1 overall pick.

“Doug Pederson four years ago won a Super Bowl as head coach of a franchise in pursuit of its first world championship,” Khan told Jaguars.com. “I hope Doug can replicate that magic here in Jacksonville, but what is certain is his proven leadership and experience as a winning head coach in the National Football League. It's exactly what our players deserve. Nothing less."

The offense is bound to improve from the league’s bottom five. Travis Etienne missed his entire rookie campaign and Lawrence is sure to benefit from the new regime. However, don’t expect a giant leap from this franchise until 2023.

PICK: Under 6.5 Wins

DimersBOT: In our model's 10,000 simulations of the upcoming NFL season, the Jaguars averaged 5.52 wins per year. That's one of the bigger edges we see on the board as far as win totals go, as we love the Under on this one.

Jacksonville Jaguars X-Factor - Christian Kirk, WR

Kirk agreed to a four-year contract worth up to $84 million and will be counted on to produce immediately opposite Marvin Jones. A second-round selection by the Cardinals in 2018, the speedy Kirk caught a career-high 77 passes for a career-high 982 yards and five TDs in 2021. He has 236 career receptions for 2,902 yards and 17 scores.

Jacksonville Jaguars Super Bowl 57 Chances

Be ready with the wheelbarrows if you take a flier on a major long shot to suddenly go from five wins over the past two seasons combined to celebrating under a confetti shower on Feb. 12.

First try betting the Jaguars to make the playoffs...if you dare.

DimersBOT: Our model does not view the Jaguars as a threat to win the Super Bowl this year, and that's the nicest way we can possibly put it. Jacksonville is two years away from being two years away.
