Huge Touchdown Parlays and Mattress Mack: The Biggest Winners and Losers from NFL Divisional Weekend

Huge Touchdown Parlays and Mattress Mack: The Biggest Winners and Losers from NFL Divisional Weekend

The NFL Divisional Round is done and dusted for another year and just four teams remain with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs still all with a chance of advancing to Super Bowl LVII. For some bettors, the weekend will be one they remember forever with some huge gambling wins resulting in some eye-watering payouts. There were also a few big losses, too.

We take a look back at the weekend that was with the biggest winners and losers from the Divisional Round.

If you haven't already, you should consider signing up for DraftKings here as you can turn a $5 pre-game moneyline bet on any game into $200 in bonus bets if your team wins.

Bettor Wins $72,000 on First Touchdown Scorers

With four games on the docket for the Divisional Round, bettors were able hone in on the reduced slate with deadly precision, with a number of big bets hitting as players in the tight end position dominated. Tight ends accounted for three of the four first touchdowns of each game across Saturday and Sunday, with one bettor correctly nailing Travis Kelce, Dallas Goedert, Dalton Schultz and Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to get into the end zone of their respective games first.

The winner, who posted their ticket made with FanDuel Sportsbook on Twitter under the username @CameronJayCrai1, spun a $5 free bet into $72,795 at odds of +1455900 when Schultz cruised in for 6 against the 49ers, instantly changing his life.

$100,000 9-leg Parlay Hit

That wasn't the only bettor to turn a free bet into a lottery-like win this weekend. Twitter user @c0va_ put his $50 free bet to good use, compiling a 9-leg Same Game Parlay+ with Fanduel Sportsbook to cash out over $100,000. The bet, which comprised legs from all four Divisional games, correctly had Travis Kelce, Boston Scott, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Ja'Marr Chase and Josh Allen to score anytime, as well as the Chiefs, Bengals and 49ers to win on the moneyline. The wager, which was listed at odds of +205519, was barely a sweat as the 49ers held off the Cowboys' awful final drive to advance to Championship Sunday.

Mattress Mack Loses $2 Million on the Cowboys

While there were a lot of big winners this weekend, there were also some monumental losses. The biggest L of the weekend has to go to furniture tycoon Mattress Mack, who let his devout allegiance to the state of Texas get the better of him by dropping $2.2 million on Dallas to beat San Francisco on Sunday night. Between Dak Prescott's poor performance, and the continued kicking woes of Brett Maher, the Cowboys could never land the knockout blow on the Niners despite being in the game right until the end.

That makes over $5.3 million of gambling losses for the 71-year-old in the past month alone. Mack lost $3.1 million on another Texas-based sports team when TCU were humbled by Georgia in the National Championship

Even though he still might be basking in the afterglow of winning $75 million on the Houston Astros in November, one can't help but think that Mattress Mack might give up a few more millys in the coming months on teams from the Lone Star State during March Madness and the NBA Playoffs.
