A new week begins and we're looking to capitalize on some great sluggers with our MLB Home Run Parlay for Monday, August 14. Tonight's parlay features players from the D-Backs vs. Rockies and Orioles vs. Padres games as we compare our MLB predictions data against the sportsbook lines to try and determine where we might have an edge over the 'books. Monday MLB Parlay Analysis
D-Backs vs. Rockies - 8:40PM EST
LEG 1: Corbin Carroll 1+ HR (+310) with PointsBet
Let's start things off in the absolute best home run park in baseball, Coors Field. We've got wind blowing out to the shorter left field fence as well as the usual altitude boost we get from the Mile High City. We're tasking NL Rookie of the Year favorite Corbin Carroll to go yard tonight for No. 22 on the year. Caroll has cooled off a bit from his dominant June in which he mashed 8 homers with a .979 OPS. He's yet to hit one in August but we know that he's capable of doing so to any corner of the park.
He steps up to the plate against Rockies' starter Chris Flexen who made a move from the bullpen to the rotation. He's allowed two home runs in three-straight starts and at least one in five of his last seven relief appearances before that. He's pretty much an automatic home run any time he takes the mound. Carroll has hit 19 of his home runs and has a .925 OPS against righties.

Orioles vs. Padres - 9:40PM EST
LEG 1: Juan Soto 1+ HR (+475) with PointsBet
We look to close things out with a Soto-bomb in one of the late games when the Padres take on the Orioles in PetCo Park. Soto has smacked 24 home runs this year, including four in August and nine since the All-Star Break. His OPS is up to a phenomenal .914 and his HardHit% is in the upper-most percentile of MLB. He hits absolute nukes, with a 48.5 no-doubter percentage, meaning that any given home run would be gone in all 30 parks. DimersBOT gives him a 21% chance of hitting a home run tonight giving us roughly a 4% edge in the odds.
He'll face the Orioles' rookie pitcher Grayson Rodriguez, who has been having a much better second half of the season than the first. He had allowed 13 home runs through just 55 innings before Baltimore sent him down to AAA for a spell. Since returning ti the rotation, he has not allowed a home run in five starts. Normally we'd avoid targeting a guy who's been on a clean streak, but even with his strong performances, he's still allowed 17 earned runs in that time and has a HardHit% in the bottom 5% of the league. Additionally, Soto has a .975 OPS with 19 of his home runs against right-handers like Rodriguez.
