In For Six: Breaking Down The Six Biggest College Football Games of Week 13

1. Tulane Green Wave vs. Cincinnati Bearcats - Friday, 12:00PM ET

While Tulane and Cincinnati might not spark the interest of the casual crowd, this game has high conference championship and New Years Six bowl stakes. The winner of this game will clinch its spot in the AAC Championship Game and will host the game.

Tulane is the highest ranked Group of Five team in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. Tulane prides itself on running the football. The Green Wave have the third-best rushing offense in the AAC. Cincinnati has the fifth-best passing offense in the AAC.

LEAN: Over 46.5 - While both teams are Top 30 in total defense, we expect the offenses to be the story of this game. Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt is coming off a big game against SMU. If he stays hot, it will be hard for the Cincinnati defense to contain him, and the Green Wave run game. Give us the Over here.

2. Florida Gators vs. Florida State Seminoles - Friday, 7:30PM ET

Florida and Florida State come into this game on separate ends of the momentum spectrum. Florida lost at Vanderbilt last week to drop to 6-5. Florida State is on a four-game winning streak with convincing wins in all four of those games.

The Seminoles have been playing well defensively in the past few weeks. The key in this game will be Florida’s ability to run the football. The Gators only had 45 rushing yards against Vanderbilt and lost the game.

LEAN: Florida +9.5 - We don’t expect Florida to have two bad weeks offensively in a row. Expect to see Florida’s best game as the Gators don’t have much to lose. Florida State hasn’t been matched in physicality in the past few weeks. Florida will give the Seminoles a challenge.

3. Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Buckeyes - Saturday, 12:00PM ET

The two remaining undefeated Big Ten teams, Michigan and Ohio State, will meet in Columbus on Saturday. This is one of the greatest rivalries in sports, and both teams being in the running for a spot in the College Football Playoff will only make this game more intense.

Both teams have injuries at the running back position. Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy will have to play well against an improved Ohio State defense from last season. This will be Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud’s toughest test of the season against the number one total defense in FBS.

LEAN: Michigan +7.5 - This spread is simply too big for a team with flaws like Ohio State. These teams are pretty evenly matched. Michigan will control the clock, run the football and play good defense. Ohio State will try to sling the ball all over the yard. We like Michigan plus the points in this high stakes rivalry clash.

4. South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Clemson Tigers - Saturday, 12:00PM ET

The battle for the Palmetto State is one of the most hostile rivalries in the south. South Carolina just picked up a program defining upset victory over Tennessee, which ruined the Volunteers’ playoff hopes.

Clemson is still in the playoff race. The Tigers need to win this game and the ACC Championship Game against North Carolina next week.

LEAN: Under 52 - It’s hard to imagine Spencer Rattler and the South Carolina offense having another great week offensively, especially against a Clemson team that is in the Top 20 in total defense. We aren’t confident in picking against the spread because of Clemson’s inconsistency on offense. Give us the Under in this game.

5. Oregon Ducks vs. Oregon State Beavers - Saturday, 3:30PM ET

Oregon vs. Oregon State is the best game of the week in the Pac-12. The health of Oregon quarterback Bo Nix will be a question in this game. Nix played last week against Utah, but he was not a run threat due to his lower leg injury. A healthy Nix could be the difference in this game.

Both Oregon and Oregon State are really good at defending the run. Both teams are also good at running the football as well.

LEAN: Oregon State +3 - This game is Oregon State’s Super Bowl. The Beavers have a chance to ruin their rivals’ season and keep them out of the Pac-12 Championship Game. A beat-up Bo Nix will also help Oregon State in this game. We’ll take the Beavers plus the points.

6. Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. USC Trojans - Saturday, 7:30PM ET

Notre Dame and USC renew their rivalry on Saturday night. This game has high stakes as USC is still in the playoff race. The Trojans have already clinched their spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game, so they can’t afford to look ahead.

The Fighting Irish have won eight of their last nine games and continue to climb in the rankings. Notre Dame has been able to run the ball as of late. USC doesn’t have the greatest rushing defense, so don’t be shocked to see Notre Dame controlling the clock.

LEAN: Under 64.5 - We think this game will be close, but USC has the ability to score quickly with Caleb Williams at quarterback. We are confident in the Under bet hitting because of USC’s lack of rush defense. No matter who wins, Notre Dame will be able to chew the clock.
