For today's CBB prop picks and parlay, we're utilizing two features: our expansive projections hub that spotlights players on the verge of major statistical outbursts, and our CBB player props page, where players are identified with value to go over or under their lines.
Four games are on tap on Friday night, and we're narrowing our focus to one player in each game who stands out according to the Dimers model, each backed by our projections hub.
We came up two Keaton Wagler points shy of sweeping our props last night - here's what we like this evening.
1. Zuby Ejlofor over 15.5 points (-105 on FanDuel)
Game: Duke vs. St John's
Tip: 7:10 PM ET
In the first game of the night between top overall seed Duke vs. St. John's, we're looking at the Red Storm's top-projected scorer, Zuby Eljofor.
Our model projects Eljofor for 17.0 points tonight, the fourth-highest across all of Friday's games, while you can get his points line at 15.5 on FanDuel, or at 16.5 on other books if you want plus-money odds on a straight bet.
Eljofor has dominated from the end of the season through the second round of the tournament, scoring 16+ in six straight to end the year, and 18 in the second round, going under this number just once since February.
He's St. John's top scorer and Duke has allowed three players to clear this line through two tournament games.
2. Yaxel Lendeborg 2+ threes (-132 on FanDuel)
Game: Alabama vs. Michigan
Tip: 7:35 PM ET
In the second early game, we're backing Michigan star Yaxel Lendeborg to knock down a pair of shots form beyond the arc, thanks to a strong projection from the Dimers model.
At 2.7 threes, Lendeborg gets a strong probability of 66.2% to clear his line of 1.5 threes, the highest probability for a prop bet on our site for the whole slate, with his 3+ even looking in play for an alternate line.
Lendeborg wasn't a huge three-point shooter this season, but he averaged 4.4 attempts per game , and over his last twelve games, he's gone under 1.5 just three times.
In the tournament, Alabama has seen 24 and 25 attempts by opponents behind the arc, seeing three players hit a pair or more.
Our value on Yaxel Lendeborg's three-point prop as seen in the Dimers App.
3. Tarris Reed over 13.5 points (-110 on FanDuel)
Game: Michigan State vs. UConn
Tip: 9:45 PM ET
Shifting to the late games, we're backing a top-projected scorer in a game our model paints as a coin flip.
UConn center Tarris Reed Jr. projects for 16.5 points, a favorable number with his line set at just 13.5 and good odds of -110.
Reed averaged 14.2 during the season and dropped 31 in the opening game of the tournament before 10 points in round two, and you'd have to go all the way back to January 4th to find back-to-back games in which he did not score 14 points or more.
The Dimers model predicts a razor-thin win margin in a competitive back-and-forth game, setting up the Huskies top scorer for a big night.
4. Milan Momcilovic 4+ threes (+100 on FanDuel)
Game: Tennessee vs. Iowa State
Tip: 10:10 PM ET
In the final game of the night, we're backing our top-projected three-point shooter of the evening to go just slightly over and knock down 4+ threes.
Iowa State's top scorer Milan Momcilovic could be an even bigger part of this offense if fellow star Joshua Jefferson isn't fully healthy or misses the game completely after his second-round injury.
More than half of Momcilovic's shot attempts come from behind the arc and volume is paramount to hitting higher lines, and he's knocked down 4+ threes in six of his last 10, including one tournament game so far. That aligns with our projections of 3.7 threes and 14.4 points, suggesting the majority of his scoring will be from deep shots tonight.
Tennessee boasts a Top 20 defense nationally vs. opponent three-point percentage, but their opponent's top shooter has knocked down 4 threes in each of their first two tournament games.
