Best NBA Betting Picks and Parlay Today - Thursday, February 9, 2023

After a wild NBA trade deadline, we have some best bets for the actual on-court action on Thursday, February 9. Tonight, there will be a TNT doubleheader in which the Brooklyn Nets host the Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Los Angeles Lakers. We'll see some new faces in new places in these games, especially with the Nets. Brooklyn is expected to have Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith in the lineup for this one, although the team will have to wait on Mikal BridgesCam Johnson and Jae Crowder — who came over in the Kevin Durant trade. Either way, we're looking forward to the games and we're confident our picks can help you win some money on them. Our expert has been having a great season, and he also utilizes our predictive analytics and artificial intelligence. Also, check out our NBA player props parlay when you get a chance.

Best NBA Bets Today

Phoenix Suns vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30PM ET

The Suns just traded two key rotation pieces for Durant and TJ Warren, but neither one of them will be on the floor for this one. With that said, Phoenix will be especially shorthanded this evening — especially considering Devin Booker is sitting so that he can play Friday night against the Indiana Pacers.

With Phoenix down to just Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, the team could look to really slow things down and play a half-court game. That'll help Under bettors in a meeting with an Atlanta squad that likely wants to get out and push the pace.

Since Nate McMillan became the head coach of the Hawks, the Under is 19-8 when Atlanta has played at home after a meeting with a Western Conference opponent. The Under also happens to be 3-1 in the last four games that the Hawks have played, and it's 4-1 in the last five that the Suns have played.

Atlanta is also actively in trade discussions ahead of the deadline. Any deals the team makes will make it harder on the Hawks to find a rhythm offensively.

DID YOU KNOW? Phoenix's Deandre Ayton has collected more than 10.5 rebounds in nine of his last 13 appearances. That and more in our NBA Trends section.

Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30PM ET

The Nets are going to have some of their new toys this evening, as it's expected that Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith will be out there tonight. Both players have the ability to really help Brooklyn immediately, and this team isn't all that bad to begin with. With the way Cam Thomas is playing right now, it's just hard to advise backing a mediocre Bulls team to win this game on the road. With that said, we're taking a shot on Brooklyn.

Chicago is just 10-17 straight-up when playing on the road this season, and this line is so small that we're really just trying to figure out who will win outright. Brooklyn is also 8-0 ATS when coming off back-to-back games that went Over the total since Jacque Vaughn took over as head coach.

The reality here is that it's just hard to trust this version of the Bulls, especially considering they could opt to make a trade that makes them worse tonight. That alone makes it a good value to back Brooklyn early on.

SAY WHAT? Chicago's Zach LaVine has scored fewer than 25.5 points in eight of his last 12 appearances. You can find more stats like this in our NBA Trends section.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:00PM ET

The Lakers are coming off a game in which LeBron James made history, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time scoring leader. Now, LeBron is listed as questionable for a meeting with Milwaukee, and that's going to make it very hard for Los Angeles to find a way to compete in this game. None of the Lakers' new acquisitions — D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt — are expected to be out there tonight.

As for the Bucks, they are in good shape coming into this one, with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday all expected to be out there. With Milwaukee being the better team to begin with, it's hard not to like the road team to earn a decisive win in this one. After all, the Bucks are 16-6 ATS when playing as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 this season.

TREND: We've also identified an NBA trend for Los Angeles' Anthony Davis that's worth consideration. Davis has recorded fewer than 3.5 assists in 10 of his last 13 appearances.

BET: Bucks -5.5 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
