Best NBA Bets Today

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Orlando Magic, 7:00PM ET

The Pels have had their backs against the wall over the last little while as they deal with a raft of injuries to key players, including Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram; both of whom will be missing tonight as they travel to Orlando to take on the young Magic. The Magic have done little to give bettors confidence that they'll be able to take advantage of the Pels' woes in the medical room with just three wins in their last ten games - headlined by issues on offense where they rank in the bottom five of the league.

There is undoubted star potential on the Magic with guys like Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter, but there is still too much experience in this New Orleans lineup with McCollum and Valanciunas more than capable of steering the ship. Pelicans take the honors here.

DID YOU KNOW? Orlando's Paolo Banchero has collected less than 6.5 rebounds in 17 of his last 24 appearances? That and more in our NBA Trends section.

New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30PM ET

In a battle between two teams that frustrate their respective fans (and bettors) to no end, who do we choose? The Hawks are coming off a nice road win on Wednesday night against the Mavericks to get themselves above .500 while the Knicks blew yet another game that they were favored to win against the Wizards at MSG.

Despite the difference in recent fortunes of the two teams, what they are both doing well right now is defending - both allowing just 112 points per game across their last five games each - which has equated to a slow pace of play for both teams, with New York ranking dead last in the NBA for pace of play with an average of 95 possessions per game. Given their struggles, you'll expect the Knicks to want to try and push the tempo a little but it still might be enough to put points on this suddenly stingy Hawks defense on their own their own home court. We're taking the Under on this one.

TREND: We've identified an NBA trend for New York's Jalen Brunson who has recorded less than 6.5 assists in 7 of his last 10 appearances.

BET: Under 231.5 points (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks, 7:30PM ET

It's crazy that a team that has a generational player such as Luka Doncic can be labelled with things like 'boring' among NBA fans and media alike, but it's true. Watching this Mavs team can be a grind at times, especially when they are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. Too much is left to Doncic to do with little help from the rest of his squad. In a matchup against a strong defensive Heat team - a ballclub he has struggled against in the past with career averages of 20-8-6 - it's not looking good. Miami to win.

WOW: Luka Doncic's average of 20.8 points per game against the Heat is his worst career points average vs. any team in the NBA.

BET: Heat moneyline (-108) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
