For lovers of high scoring baseball games, don't expect much when the Cubs and Marlins start their series in Miami starting tonight. Both ball clubs rank in the bottom 10 of the league for runs scored per game at 23rd and 28th respectively, and their numbers over their last 10 games are even worse than their overall season tallies. The Marlins will send Edward Cabrera (5-3, 2.70 ERA) to the mound, while the Cubs will counter with Wade Miley (1-0, 2.89 ERA) - two guys who have been consistent in restricting their opponents. This will be a long grind.

It looks like the Orioles will fall short of postseason baseball after a remarkable year, but they are still a threat that can be dominant when they're in full flight. They'll have a golden opportunity to turn it on for their home fans tonight with a nice matchup against the Tigers and starting Detroit pitcher Tyler Alexander (3-10, 5.35 ERA). The runs typically flow freely when Alexander goes to the mound with a heavy 7.71 ERA over his last three starts. There is some value to be had with plus money on the O's to pounce.
