Aside from the jaw-dropping plays of Oneil Cruz, the Pirates have been extremely unspectacular this season. They are 2-8 over the last ten games and have an uninspiring lineup that is batting .210 over that same stretch. It is Baseball, so anything can happen... but the Blue Jays are the better team in this one. On top of that, Toronto will trot out Alek Manoah, who has particularly strong splits outside of Canada (2.52 Away ERA). We'll lean on him to have a dominant outing against a Pirates team that is already looking towards next year's Spring Training.

Cubs vs. Cardinals, 8:15PM ET

Jordan Montgomery will get another crack at this storied rivalry as the Cubs and Cardinals face off Friday night. Much to the chagrin of Yankee fans, Montgomery has been impeccable since being traded to the Cardinals. In his first start verse the Cubs, the lefty delivered a flawless complete game shutout. We'll look for him to repeat success and improve on his second-half resurgence.

Astros vs. Angels, 9:38PM ET

In a matchup where neither offense is particularly booming as of late, we give the edge to the seasoned, playoff-proven squad. Lance McCullers should give the Astros a strong start and has been in good form recently with a 1.69 ERA over his past three games. The Angels Starter, Reid Detmers, has already faced the Astros twice this season with middling results. It may be even tougher for Detmers to face this lineup on a third occasion. The Astros should be able to score a few runs and let McCullers handle the rest on the way to a victory.
