Opposition hitters have been dining out on Royals starter Jonathan Heasley (3-8, 5.51 ERA) in recent times with an average of 3.5 runs given up per start over his last 10 appearances, which usually average out at just a smidge over 4 innings. That's pretty bad. They'll have a torrid time trying to combat the Red Sox offense tonight who will be backed by starter Michael Wacha (11-1, 2.69 ERA). Wacha hasn't exactly had the greatest run over his most recent starts, but he has had a knack for being bailed out by his run offense who are averaging around 5 runs per game over their last 10. Mariners vs. Angels, 9:38PM ET

Michael Lorenzen (6-6, 4.70 ERA) gets the nod to start for the Halos tonight in Anaheim and that is music to the ears of Mariners bettors. Lorenzen has been wayward on the mound right across the season with an average of 3.3 runs per start given up over hit last 10 outings. He has lost to the Mariners twice already this year and will have to come up against Cy Young winner Robbie Ray (12-9, 3.56 ERA) who has started to recapture some of his scintillating form from last season. There is a large gulf in class between these two ball clubs and that will show out tonight.
