Opening round action in the Australian Open continues on Monday and we’re diving in with some bets to ease our Super Bowl hangover.

Let’s get into a big day of hittin’ balls over nets:
🎾 Andreas Seppi to beat Pablo Cuevas (+122)
We’re siding with the slight underdog Andreas Seppi in his opening round match against Argentinian Pablo Cuevas. The Italian veteran has progressed to the second round every year at Melbourne Park since 2012, including four fourth-round appearances since then. Cuevas, on the other hand, has really struggled at this event in the past. With limited recent form available, we’re happy to side with Seppi in a close one at juicy odds.
🎾 Jan-Lennard Struff to beat Chris O’Connell 3-0 (+125)
After an impressive lead up to the Aus Open, we’re happy to put our money on German Jan-Lennard Struff to comfortably account for Australian wildcard Chris O’Connell. Struff defeated seeded duo Milos Raonic & Dusan Lajovic last week at the ATP Cup, while also taking a set off World No.8 Andrey Rublev. If he brings that form into this match he should breeze past the Aussie journeyman in straight sets.
🎾 Elise Mertens to beat Leylah Fernandez 2-0 (-143)
There are no spoils with the price, but we like Elise Mertens to beat 18-year-old Canadian Leylah Fernandez. Mertens was our dark horse to take out the Australian Open pre-tournament and winning the lead-in Gippsland Trophy last week has only strengthened our opinion of the German. Take her in straight sets in a parlay for some added value.
🎾🎾🎾 Day 2 Parlay
Seppi, Struff (3-0), Mertens (2-0) = +748
