After a Game 1 capitulation in which they gave away a 5-0 lead to drop the series opener at home, the Astros took care of business in Game 2 to ensure that there would be no repeat performance after getting off to another hot start.

In order to stop the early-innings bleeding in Game 3, the Phillies are sending out Noah Syndergaard. The former Met and Angel had spent most of the season with erratic numbers but has hit a hot patch of form, giving up just one run in his last 12 pitched innings.
