Predictions and bets for Tigers @ Pirates

If yesterday’s series opener between Detroit and Pittsburgh is any indication, we are in for another classic today.

The Tigers and Pirates played out one of the most enjoyable contests to date this season. A see-sawing battle saw the Pirates smash three runs in the 9th to force extra innings. Eventually Detroit clawed their way back to win 17-13 after 11 innings.

We are expecting more of the same this afternoon.

Dimers' Suggested Plays

Lock: Over 9.5 runs (+100*)

Moneyline: Pirates (-136*)

Run line: Pirates -1.5 (+150*)

Lock

30 runs yesterday. 30! The time off for Detroit during the week seemed to do wonders for their offense. Our model predicts we’ll see another festival of slugging this afternoon.

Moneyline

The Pirates would be bitterly disappointed to fall to the Tigers in the way they did yesterday. Pittsburgh led during the match only to let it slip and then had to pull off a miracle to force it to extra inning. We are tipping the Pirates to bounce back for a win today.

Run line

Our model suggests that the combination of a potentially high scoring game, along with the Pirates predicted win at the moneyline, that Pittsburgh will create some air between themselves and Detroit today. Some real value for your tickets here.

Dimers' take-out

At Dimers we love high scores and we’ll be glued to the TV sets this afternoon watching this one play out. Lock in the overs on this one.
