The holiday season is upon us! Here’s a three-pack of plays from this week’s episode of the Doggy Juice Podcast.

🏈 Coastal Carolina vs. Liberty

Coastal Carolina and Liberty are former Big South rivals with a lot of history, playing to a 7-7 tie in their previous 14 meetings. These two teams were also supposed to play one another this season in early December before Covid-19 issues forced a late cancellation, which led to Coastal’s big win at home over BYU in the replacement game. Fast forward to Saturday and we have an inflated point spread in what should be a very competitive game.

The Chanticleers are dealing with Covid-19 issues of their own and take on a Flames team that averages 6.3 yards per play and one that will not be lacking motivation on Saturday. Catching a full touchdown with the underdog is too much value to pass up on.

πŸ’° Pick: Liberty +7

🏈 Eagles at Cowboys

This line has ticked up throughout the week and I agree with the move, but laying anything less than a field goal with the road team here is still a great option for your NFL card this weekend. The Cowboys have been the beneficiaries of turnover luck in their past few games despite showing no meaningful edge on the stat sheets. While the betting market appears to be wise on this recent good fortune for Dallas, there is still enough value to get into play on an Eagles team that still has a realistic chance to win the division. If you’re late to the party, reduce the investment size at -3.

πŸ’° Pick: Eagles -2.5 (Reduce position at -3)

🏈 NFL 6-point, 2-team teaser

It has been a banner year for NFL teasers and although the marketplace has sharpened out the numbers throughout the week, we have another solid array of options at our disposal that fit the classic Stanford Wong advantage teaser model. As stated here previously, a two-team, six-point NFL teaser that crosses through the key numbers of 3 and 7 can give us bettors a nice little mathematical edge over the book (as long as the vigorish isn’t too much above the standard -110 juice). Advantage teasers in the NFL continue to cash at a very high rate in 2020, and we are 8-4 on the official Doggy Juice Pod Teasers of the Week this season.

The Texans take on a Bengals team that will be riding high after last Monday’s shocking upset win against the aforementioned Steelers. With less preparation time and still with one of the poorest lineups in the league top-to-bottom from a power ratings standpoint, all we are essentially asking Houston to do is win Sunday’s matchup outright by teasing them down from -7.5 to -1.5.

In our other leg of the teaser, it’s a perfect buy-low opportunity on a Steelers team that has lost three straight games. The look-ahead line for Sunday’s matchup against the Colts was Pittsburgh -3, so you better believe the marketplace is already pricing in Big Ben and Co.’s recent struggles. By teasing them up through 3 and 7 we are asking them to keep Sunday’s contest within one score in what should be a lower scoring battle between two of the league’s best defenses. As always, be sure to shop around the betting marketplace for the best available price.

πŸ’° Pick: Texans -1.5 and Steelers +7.5
