Miami Heat vs. Denver Nuggets, 8:30PM ET

LEG 1: Michael Porter Jr Over 15.5 Points

In last year's Finals, Andrew Wiggins came away as the unlikely hero for the Warriors - could we see it again this year with Michael Porter Jr. Our model is expecting Porter Jr. to not just hit his points prop in Game 1, but to completely destroy it. We're predicting MPJ to go off for 26 points. With so much emphasis on closing off Nikola Jokic in this series with Miami's famous zone defense, look for a guy like Porter to set up camp outside the three-point line in the corners. He's going to get plenty of chances.

LEG 2: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Over 1.5 Threes

With so much of Miami's success based upon their role players hitting big three-point shots, the formula to go on your way to beating them is simple: outshoot them. KCP will play a pivotal role in fighting with fire, and he'll be looking to keep his hot postseason going where he has shot 41% from deep off an average of five attempts per game. As mentioned above, the focus on Jokic will open up chances on the wings - two triples for Pope is a bare minimum of what bettors should expect.

LEG 3: Bam Adebayo Over 16.5 Points

Bam Adebayo will have the toughest defensive assignment in basketball when he has to take on Jokic over the next week or so, but if history shows, he shouldn't be too daunted by his ability to have an impact in this series in his own right. Adebayo has proven to be an effective scorer when he matches up with Denver, hitting this line in five of his last seven meetings against the Nuggets, dating back to 2020. Our model predicts 21 points.
