NFL Week 4 Bad Beats

1. Chase Edmonds Touchdown for $3050

For our first bad beat of Week 4, we go back to Thursday Night Football and the game between the Bengals and Dolphins. For the big clash, which Cincinnati would eventually triumph in, FanDuel Sportsbook put up a market that bettors pounced on. The special, priced at odds of +6000 needed the Bengals' Joe Mixon to score the first touchdown of the match, followed by the Dolphins' Chase Edmonds.

Everything was going to plan when Mixon got in for 6, and Miami responded with a deep run into the red zone in their own right. Bettors hearts were in their mouths when on a 3rd & 4, Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa found Edmonds in space in the endzone, only for Edmonds to completely fumble the bag and drop the catch, costing hundreds of bettors thousands of dollars in the process. Absolute pain.

2. Jalen Hurts 40+ Rush Yards for $4000

The rampaging Eagles continued their unbeaten streak to begin the season, this time taking down the Jaguars to improve their record to 4-0. A lot of talk has been around Philly quarterback Jalen Hurts and his MVP-calibre form over the first month of the season, and Hurts was as it again on Sunday.

But with the game safe in hand and Hurts on 41 rushing yards, 3 kneel downs at the end of the game to kill time absolutely killed one bettor who needed the former Alabama man to stay on 40+ to cash two seperate parlays that would have netted him over $4000 from just a $6 outlay.

Alas, those kneel downs resulted in Hurts finishing on 38 yards. That's just cruel.

3. Travis Kelce 2+ Touchdowns for $10,000

The Sunday Night Football game between the Chiefs and Buccaneers was a goldmine for bettors with 72 total points scored between the two teams in Tampa Bay, but it was also the source of a lot of pain for those gamblers who were oh so close, yet so far away.

One bettor @akatoned would have been feeling pretty good at halftime, needing just one more touchdown out of Patrick Mahomes' No. 1 guy in Travis Kelce to cash a Mike Evans/Kelce 2+ Touchdowns parlay at odds of +9720. Unfortunately for Big Tone, Kelce wouldn't get a decent opportunity in the second half with a $10,000 pay day gone begging.

4. Patrick Mahomes 250+ Yards for $2000

Staying in Florida, and another bettor came so damn close to turning chump change into thousands with a $30 7-leg Same Game Parlay falling just one Patrick Mahomes passing yard short of paying out. That's the kind of stuff that gives you nightmares.

5. Leonard Fournette Cash Out for $2500

Cashing out a bet is always a decision that can haunt you. We saw it a couple of weeks ago when a dude cashed out a $7 parlay that would have won $1M, and we saw it again on Sunday night when one bettor missed out on the chance to turn his $100 Anytime Touchdown parlay into more than $2500 in the dying stages of Sunday night's game.

As the user explained, needing just Leonard Fournette to get into the endzone to cash his parlay, the bettor decided to cash out and take $269. On the very next play, the Chiefs turned the ball over to the Bucs which would eventually lead to a Fournette touchdown. That hurts.
