2022 NFL Season: The Top 3 Bad Beats of Week 12

2022 NFL Season: The Top 3 Bad Beats of Week 12

The holiday weekend saw no respite for the bettors in Week 12, with some vicious bad beats that will leave a bad taste in the mouth, just like that Turkey in the refrigerator that you're considering eating on a Tuesday morning.

If you haven't already, you should consider signing up for DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️ as you can turn a $5 pre-game moneyline bet on any game into a free $200 if your team wins. That will help make those soul crushing bad beats feel a little better!

NFL Week 12 Bad Beats

1. Saquon scores second, not first, and blows up a +70300 parlay

The Thanksgiving slate on Thursday was the perfect set up for parlay bettors to have a slice of the action on each of the three games on the day. One of the more popular parlays among the community was the three-leg First Touchdown Scorer parlay, but for one bettor, Thursday will be remembered as less of a time to give thanks and more of a time that they came oh-so-close to $3500 from a $5 bet.

With Jamaal Williams kicking off things in Detroit against the Bills, and Justin Jefferson scoring first for the Vikings in primetime, a Saquon Barkley first touchdown in the Giants/Cowboys game would have cashed wsxmatt's +70300 parlay. Unfortunately for him, the Giants' RB scored the second touchdown of the game, resulting in a big ol' red cross on his betslip.

2.  Hunter Henry's overturned TD wipes away $4K

Now it's time to talk about some bullshit that happened on Thursday night between the Pats and Vikings. New England tight end Hunter Henry was in his bag for Thanksgiving primetime, collecting three catches for 63 yards and a touchdown, but really that figure should be four catches and two touchdowns when Mac Jones found Henry for yet another catch in the end zone that would have capped off a 2+ touchdown prop at odds of +4400.

With Henry looking like he well and truly controlled the ball, the refs called the play back upon review, ruling out the touchdown.

What's worse is that one bettor not only had the play, but they had parlayed it with another tight end in Dallas' Dalton Schultz to score two touchdowns early in the day. The parlay was set at odds of +87300 and would have returned $4370. Yikes.

Was it a touchdown?

3. Randall Cobb's drop costs over $7000

We got one of the games of the year on Sunday Night when the Packers and Eagles turned it on for a touchdown fest. While the touchdowns were plentiful, one bettor will be ruing a late drop from Randall Cobb which would have been his second touchdown of the night, cashing the 2+ touchdown play at odds of +5000 and would have turned $150 into $7650.
